JOB POSTINGS About the Role of Project Manager ACG is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee Outside Plant (OSP) telecommunications projects, including fiber‐optic construction, underground and aerial deployments, permitting, and field operations. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate brings strong OSP technical knowledge, leadership, and the ability to manage multiple active projects in a fast‐paced environment. Schedule & Reporting • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (flexibility required based on project needs), • Reports To: Project Manager, • High accountability and strong documentation., • Direct communication and follow-through., • Comfortable with a fast pace and multiple deadlines., • Ownership mentality; emotionally mature; accepts feedback. • Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 - (based on experience), • Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrued every pay period; increases with tenure, • Paid Holidays: 7 full paid holidays annually, • Half‐Day Holidays (Salaried): Christmas Eve & New Year’s Eve, • 401(k) Retirement Plan: 3.5% employer match, • Profit Sharing (Salaried): Based on company performance and KPIs, • Health, Dental & Vision Insurance: Available to eligible employees What You Will Do Project Planning, Scheduling & Execution • Manage day‐to‐day operations of OSP projects including fiber builds, trenching, boring, aerial construction, and splicing, • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocation, • Conduct field visits to monitor progress, safety compliance, and construction quality, • Identify risks, delays, and conflicts; implement corrective actions promptly, • Coordinate with engineers, field crews, subcontractors, and clients, • Manage subcontractor performance and verify completed work, • Communicate project status, risks, and updates to leadership, • Oversee permitting with cities, utilities, and municipalities, • Review and interpret construction drawings, maps, engineering plans, and permits, • Track materials, equipment, and procurement needs, • Maintain accurate daily reports, schedules, and project documentation, • Support as‐built documentation, redlines, inspections, and project closeout packages, • Recommend improvements to OSP workflows, documentation, and field processes, • Support safety initiatives and operational efficiency efforts, • 3+ years of experience in OSP, telecom construction, or fiber‐optic project management, • Strong understanding of aerial, underground, fiber installation, splicing, and testing, • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering plans, • Experience managing field crews, subcontractors, and vendors, • Knowledge of permitting and utility coordination, • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools, • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites, • Must ask questions immediately when requirements or drawings are unclear—no assumptions, • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, • Additional hours may be required based on field conditions and deadlines, • Accountability – Owns results and communicates honestly, • Integrity – Ethical conduct and accurate reporting, • Safety – Follows all safety requirements, • Teamwork – Collaborates across departments, • Tech savvy, AI tools, ms365, • Strong organizational discipline and documentation habits., • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume bid environment., • ❌ Do not have hands‐on experience with OSP, telecom, or fiber‐optic construction projects, • ❌ Lack experience managing field crews, subcontractors, or on‐site operations, • ❌ Are unfamiliar with aerial or underground fiber construction, splicing, or testing workflows, • ❌ Are uncomfortable conducting regular field visits or working outdoors in varying conditions, • ❌ Do not have experience with permitting, utility coordination, or municipal requirements, • ❌ Cannot read or interpret construction drawings, maps, or engineering plans, • ❌ Prefer desk‐only or coordination‐only roles with no field accountability, • ❌ Are uncomfortable working in a schedule‐driven, deadline‐intensive environment, • ❌ Struggle with daily reporting, documentation, and follow‐through, • ❌ Make assumptions instead of asking questions when requirements are unclear, • ❌ Are unwilling to work flexible hours based on field conditions and project deadlines, • ❌ Do not hold a valid driver’s license or cannot travel to job sites, • ❌ Have a history of missed deadlines, poor communication, or incomplete documentation, • ❌ Are unwilling to be held accountable to weekly KPIs and performance reviews, • Cannot work onsite (our office)., • Weak documentation, organization, or follow-through., • Resistance to a fast pace, high documentation culture.Company DescriptionAt ACG, hard work leads to real results: career advancement, increased earning potential, certifications, mentorship, and long term stability.
