POSITION SUMMARY: The Recruitment Placement Coordinator is responsible for supporting efforts to drive new member growth and engagement by assisting with the development and execution of strategic lead generation initiatives and ensuring the timely conversion and placement of girl and adult members into the Girl Scout program. This seasonal role combines outreach and relationship-building with customer service and data management. The Coordinator will work closely with internal teams and community partners to identify, recruit, and place members in appropriate Girl Scout pathways, troops, or volunteer roles to meet council goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead Generation & Community Engagement • Support development and implementation of targeted recruitment strategies to raise awareness of Girl Scouts and generate qualified leads., • Network extensively with community organizations, schools, faith-based institutions, businesses, and other stakeholders to build strong partnerships., • Help to coordinate and attend recruitment and outreach events such as school open houses, festivals, community fairs, and signature council events (e.g., Daisy Teas, Princess Parties)., • Identify and focus recruitment efforts in high-potential areas to increase girl and adult participation., • Serve as the opportunity owner in Salesforce for assigned geographic areas, monitoring lead flow and ensuring timely conversion from inquiry to registration., • Conduct prompt and professional follow-up with all prospective members via phone, email, or in-person meetings., • Ensure accurate and timely entry of all leads and member records into Salesforce., • Coordinate the placement of girls into troops or other pathways and assist with troop formation and volunteer recruitment as needed., • Place adult members in appropriate volunteer roles and communicate onboarding steps clearly throughout the process., • Collaborate with Community Engagement Specialists and other staff to maintain an up-to-date opportunity catalog that reflects troop and membership opportunities in each area., • Support council-wide initiatives such as Early Bird registration and renewal campaigns., • Provide exceptional customer service and assist with customer care inquiries as needed. Experience & Qualifications: • Girl Scouts is proud to serve a diverse community of girls and volunteers. Bilingual language skills or proficiency in one or more non-English language is always appreciated, though not required., • A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent experience in non-profit management, recruitment, education., • Two or more years of experience in recruitment, program coordination, or volunteer management., • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (Salesforce a plus). Additional Requirements: • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities; interpersonal skills, • Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality., • Capacity to network effectively and positively represent GSWNY in the public arena., • Ability to articulate organizational mission and its importance with passion and conviction, and in a manner that resonates with the listener., • Commitment to diversity and ability to interact with diverse populations., • Strong time management skills with ability to work independently and effectively prioritize duties and tasks to successfully meet and manage multiple deadlines., • Capacity to manage stress effectively and work well under pressure., • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly., • Proven capability to work in a collaborative, service-focused environment., • An ability to effectively manage and foster relationships with council staff, volunteers and within the community., • Subscribe to the principles of the Girl Scout Movement and become a registered member of GSUSA., • Successfully pass the required background checks at hire and thereafter., • Maintain reliable transportation to and from home and work., • Ability to meet the travel requirements of the position to conduct Council business; and, • Must possess a valid driver’s license, meet minimum state auto insurance requirements, and meet the insurance carrier’s requirements for coverage. HOURS & TRAVEL: Hybrid work environment with remote, office, and fieldwork components. Travel within council jurisdiction to various properties as needed (approximately 50% travel). Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, and set up materials for events. GIRL SCOUT MEMBERSHIP: All Employees of Girl Scouts must maintain an active, annual membership in Girl Scouts of Western New York. This membership must be renewed annually, and all newly hired employees are expected to enroll with GSWNY within the first 30 days of their employment.
