Front Host / Hostess needed for Airport Lounge (multiple needed) DFW Airport Plaza Premium Lounge Pay: $20.00 per hour Hours: Morning or Evening Shift (Est 7am-11am -or- 7pm-11pm) Assuming part-time hours, however, full-time maybe available once new schedule is created. The Lounge Receptionist / Host is a personal representation of the service and overall hospitality of the staff and the Lounge. While guests are waiting to be checked-in or waiting for assistance, it is the job of the Receptionist to ensure that the guests are made comfortable and kept informed of the status of their needs or wait times. Upon arrival at the Lounge, the Receptionist will greet the guest, check credentials and/or process sales and usher guests into the lounge. The duties of a Lounge Receptionist include: • Ensure guest satisfaction, • Ability to anticipate needs of others in a fast-paced environment, • To be successful, you’ll need patience, empathy, the ability to listen and a knack for making informed decisions in sometimes stressful situations, • There will be moments where you will be required to remain calm, positive, and caring even when our customers are not, • Be knowledgeable about the lounge and the services it provides. Provide all the information that guests need to enjoy their stay. This may include providing information on the facilities and the services able to be booked., • Perform cash and credit card sales transactions via POS system or cash register, including making change, • Restock food, beverages, snacks, coffee, cups, glasses, ice, etc. in all service areas as necessary, • Complete paperwork related to daily sales, cash handling, passenger counts and miscellaneous reporting, • Certification and/or Food Handlers / Food Managers Permit, as applicable, • Possess basic working knowledge of alcoholic beverages Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED is required, • Must be authorized to work in the U.S., • Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language., • Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals including the ability to compute discounts and percentages, • Related background in hospitality, customer service or restaurant/bar service, • One to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, • Knowledge of cash management and experience in general office/document administration., • Pass and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications including, but not limited to, state liquor seller-server certification (TIPS/TABC) and state/local health department food handler certification, • Must be able to stand during scheduled shift, • Ability to follow all lawful safety, health and liquor rules and regulations
