Job Description Location: Oak Cliff, Dallas, TX Department: Retail + E-Commerce + Vibes Reports To: Brand Leadership Type: Full-Time, Onsite THE GIG: We’re on the hunt for a visually obsessed, detail-driven, get-it-done human who can blend the art of digital merchandising, showroom magic, and in-store retail leadership into one seamless, fabulous experience. This is a role for someone who can translate our cheeky, colorful TOOT brand across platforms—from Shopify to our Dallas flagship and everything in between. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: DIGITAL MERCHANDISING (35%) You're the boss of the digital shelf—and your main job is to make product move. Whether it’s full-price, on sale, or headed for closeout, you know what needs to be featured, marked down, or spotlighted to drive clicks and conversions. * Strategically merchandise products across Shopify, Faire, Etsy to maximize visibility and sell-through. * Keep the digital storefront fresh: homepage, collection pages, navigation, and featured products should reflect what’s hot, what’s new, and what’s gotta go. * Maintain systems for tagging products as sale, discontinued, closeout, limited, or restock incoming—and use that info to update customer-facing language, discounts, and visual hierarchy. * Plan and execute digital markdowns, flash sales, bundles, and closeout events in collaboration with operations and marketing. * Partner with marketing to build campaigns that actually move inventory—think: seasonal sale sections, gift guides, ad sets, product features, and email blocks. * Work closely with the operations team to identify overstocked items,slow movers, and create strategies to give them a second (or final) life. * Keep alt text, SEO tags, collection filters, and product data squeaky clean for both usability and organic traffic wins. You will guide your store team members to help keep up with things like alt text, archiving discontinued product, things of that nature. * Coordinate with the content team on paid ad strategy—selecting and tagging products for Meta, Pinterest, and TikTok ads. * Track and analyze product performance weekly—what’s converting, what’s being ignored, and what needs a little digital love. * Keep a pulse on inventory levels and ensure bestsellers stay visible, easy to find, and tagged to fly off the virtual shelf. Create a system for monitoring our top product pages. * Collaborate on product launches with operations and marketing, ensuring assets, timing, and merchandising are all aligned for launch-day impact. SHOWROOM MERCHANDISING (30%) * Merchandising our showrooms like it’s an art gallery meets dopamine candy shop but completely optimized for sales. * Set up linesheets, product displays, and signage that help our wholesale buyers fall in love with TOOT (and write big orders). * Maintain showroom readiness for reps and tradeshows—yes, that means steaming, tagging, and zhuzhing to perfection. You keep immaculate records on what the showrooms are missing, items that need to be pulled, etc. * You are the communication between the showroom manager, showroom creative director, and our brand team, as it relates to setting our showroom spaces. RETAIL STORE MANAGEMENT (35%) * Lead and love our retail store team—support hiring, training, scheduling, and all the “make the shop run” stuff. These are the team members that will be helping you execute the merchandising and web tasks above * Drive daily sales, customer experience, and team accountability. * Hold store team members accountable for keeping things stocked, fluffed, clean, and looking good. * Own reporting, store goals, and feedback loops to leadership. * Be the heartbeat of the store, making TOOT a place people can’t leave without buying something. ✨ WHO YOU ARE: * You have an eye for aesthetic and a brain for strategy—left brain/right brain harmony. You make your own lists, and share them with brand team so we are all in the loop. You are organized to the max and able to EXECUTE. You understand the "push and pull" nature of getting things done with a team. * Shopify, etsy, etc doesn’t scare you. You might even get excited by a well-organized back end. You understand reporting, looking up reports in shopify, creating regular reporting that feeds to you weekly / monthly and informs you on how to strategize, etc. * You know how to tell a visual story with products and how to move that story across a website, a shelf, and a showroom wall. * You love databases and spreadsheets. Airtable/smartsheet experience is a huge bonus. (We use airtable) * You love retail, managing a team, and making online spaces feel as engaging as in person ones. * You’re probably the one your friends trust to organize their pantry AND plan the party. * Bonus if you know your way around Faire or wholesale line building! * Absolute must: You have a can-do attitude, you love to learn, You understand things must be prioritized to generate revenue, and you aren't afraid to google some stuff to try and figure some things out.
