A critical care nursing opportunity is available for a registered nurse with extensive ICU experience, particularly in high-acuity units. This contract position is based in Rome, NY, offering a chance to work within a dynamic 42-bed ICU setting that encompasses Neuro/Med, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma specialties. The role demands strong clinical skills with an emphasis on cardiac patient care and advanced technologies. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Active New York RN license and all other active RN licenses current, • Minimum of 2 years experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU, • Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, • Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex machines, • Proven skills in cardiac patient care highly preferred, • Charge nurse or management experience preferred with two recent ICU Charge/Manager RN references, • Experience working with electronic medical recordsEPIC required, • Ability to float to ICU units except Behavioral and ER (unless holding), • Must provide a detailed up-to-date resume documenting travel nursing experience if applicable, • Valid drivers license with matching demographic address, • Provide expert nursing care in a 42-bed ICU, covering sub-specialties in neuro/med, cardiothoracic, surgical, and trauma units, • Manage complex critical care patients requiring IABP, CRRT, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM devices, • Participate in flexible scheduling with 36-hour workweek guarantee; shifts primarily 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, • Perform charge nurse duties as needed and assist unit managers with clinical oversight, • Comply with unit protocols and maintain high standards of patient safety and care quality This is a contract nursing position with potential for extension.
