This includes filing of appropriate documents and forms in files., • National Student Clearing House liaison including enrollment, degree verification reporting as well as error resolution., • Process and update information from Committees of Academic Standards for both Graduate and Undergraduate students; this includes Suspensions, Dismissals and changes in status., • Process and assist with intake of Admission files for new students., • Process and assist inactivating students as well as leaves and withdrawal requests., • Coordinate transcript request processing, tracking and other transcript support., • Data entry transfer credits for prospective incoming and current students., • Coordinate and support enrollment and degree verification processes. This includes loan verification or deferment needs., • Processing of professional licensure applications/certifications for Daemen alumni., • Perform grading support for students and faculty., • Coordinate enrollment data processing such as our attendance procedure and follow up. Job Responsibilities * Prepare detailed reports for Funders. * Maintains the general ledger, reviews financial statements, researches accounts, and analyzes financial records. * Develops spreadsheet reports, verifies information, prepares journal entries, and reconciles accounts. * Prepares financial statements and reports, and assists with monthly closing processes. * Analyzes current accounting policies and procedures, and recommends changes for improvement. * Responds to information requests, researches and interprets data, and answers accounting and financial questions. * Meets processing and reporting deadlines including month-end close process. * Perform analysis of monthly financial statements to ensure financial information has been recorded accurately. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies. * Prepare month-end work papers and related schedules. * Provide direct support with any general ledger inquiries or data support questions. * Assist with year-end audit. * Effectively interact with outside independent auditors. * Assist with special projects as assigned by the Director of Finance. * Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed. * Ensure all Company financial data is kept confidential. * Some travel required * Project a positive, professional Company image * Comply with the Agency's Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, laws, regulations, and ethical standards applicable to your job duties. * Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing and documentation standards. Qualifications * Minimum of an Associate's degree and 5 years of experience in accounting; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Must have at least 5 years of diverse experience in the accounting field, with a focus on auditing and financial analysis. * Strong understanding of month-end and year-end financial close procedures. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills while coordinating many projects at the same time. * Detail oriented and highly analytical a must. * Strong knowledge of GAAP. * Self-motivated and team-oriented with individual initiative. * Team friendly approach and an upbeat demeanor. * Must have the ability to handle stressful, time limited situations in a composed and professional manner. * Can prioritize and stay on task. * Accurate and self-checking.
