Job Description Hi! Tech is looking for a sharp, energetic, creative, highly motivated, and personable Technical Project Manager (Infrastructure) to own the timely delivery of network, AV, and security solutions that meet our clients' quality standards. This role manages internal specialists and preferred vendors to deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and to specifications. Reporting to a Manager, the Technical Project Manager provides both technical and professional leadership, collaborating closely with IT Infrastructure Specialists, Systems Engineers, IT Support Specialists, and Network Engineers to deliver comprehensive technology solutions for new and existing offices. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who loves infrastructure buildouts, enjoys being on-site, and can move comfortably between detailed project plans, construction drawings, and real-world deployments. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Scoping • Define project scope in partnership with clients for physical and Wi‐Fi networks, conference room, and all‐hands AV, security systems, and special requests., • Conduct comprehensive physical site surveys to identify installation constraints and validate that proposed hardware solutions fit the existing or planned environment., • Interpret architectural drawings and reflected ceiling plans (RCPs) to determine precise placement of data drops, power, and mounting points., • Integrate power/data modules into conference room designs to create clean, cable‐free environments., • Facilitate communication between Network Engineering, AV/IT, and buildout teams to optimize the placement of access points, speakers, cameras, and other hardware., • Manage communications with clients and internal teams regarding project progress, timelines, dependencies, delays, and expectations., • Manage equipment staging, inventory, and logistics to ensure that all hardware is ready for the final construction and deployment phases., • Oversee third‐party low‐voltage and electrical contractors to ensure compliance with physical‐layer standards and best practices for MDF/IDF closets and pathways., • Test and validate that the final infrastructure meets performance, capacity, and reliability specifications defined during the design phase., • Create detailed “as‐built” reports and technical documentation, providing accurate maps of completed work for client handoff and future changes., • Develop clear, user‐friendly “how‐to” guides and quick‐reference materials to ensure end‐users can seamlessly operate new office technology. Qualifications: Core Experience • 10+ years of experience in corporate infrastructure buildouts (office buildouts, renovations, expansions, and relocations)., • 5+ years of corporate IT and technology support experience in IT helpdesk, AV/IT, and/or networking environments., • PMP (Project Management Professional), • CCNA, • Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, • CompTIA Security+, • Extensive experience with project and work‐prioritization frameworks such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban., • Power user of web‐based planning and tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Airtable, Google Sheets) for building Gantt charts, managing critical paths, and tracking milestones., • Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery considerations during infrastructure projects., • Knowledge and hands‐on experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring tools., • Deep background supporting Apple products, iOS, and Google Workspace for Business., • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to deep‐dive into research and find fixes when faced with unfamiliar technical hurdles or blockers., • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple competing tasks and projects., • Dedication to following policies, processes, and procedures while still looking for opportunities to improve them., • Proactive, can‐do attitude with a strong sense of care, ownership, and urgency., • Passion for helping others and creating an outstanding end‐user and stakeholder experience., • Team‐oriented mindset and ego‐less approach to collaboration and support., • Perseverance, resilience, and scrappiness in the face of challenges and changing priorities., • Ability to explain complex technical ideas clearly to non‐technical audiences., • Alignment with our core values: Helpful, Intuitive, Friendly, Thorough, Efficient, Curious, and Humble., • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
