Aligned around a shared purpose, our $3.9B company and 16,000 people work alongside our clients, here and abroad, to tackle their most complex challenges with integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism. • Perform Depot Level Maintenance of Naval Aircraft Mechanical Systems on FA-18 and F-16 Naval Aircraft Mechanical Systems., • An aircraft mechanic, based on blueprints, job orders, engineering specifications, or maintenance instructions, shall disassemble, repair, rework and install various systems and components such as wings, control surfaces, control systems, landing gear, arresting gear, fuel cells, instrumentation, and engines. Contractor personnel shall install hydraulic tubing, actuating cylinders, and cable controls. Contractor personnel shall rig, adjust, and perform preflight tests on various flight systems including landing gear, flight controls, instruments, oxygen/environmental systems, and power plants. Contractor personnel shall install complete fuel systems including self‑sealing fuel cells. The candidate shall be able to operate electronic technical publication or learn how to navigate it., • In addition to these major activities, the contract aircraft mechanic for this program will be required to travel across FRCSW sites throughout the US and outside the Continental United States., • Key Responsibilities:, • Perform installation, adjustment, alignment and troubleshooting for final operational and functional testing on major aircraft weapon systems, assemblies, and components for the F-18 aircraft, including overhaul and repair of weapon systems, their assemblies, and components such as airframes, landing gear, power plants, gear boxes, pumps, and hydraulic systems, pressurization, utility, fuel, oil, pneumatic and flight control systems., • Troubleshoot aircraft systems, components, or subassemblies for proper operation. Identify malfunctions and take corrective action required (whether portions must be repaired or replaced)., • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble major aircraft systems, their assemblies, and components., • Connect related systems to newly installed or repaired units and adjust the units and their related mechanisms to assure proper operation., • Install, align, and functionally and operationally test major and minor mechanical and pneumatic systems on the aircraft during overhaul or modification, perform engine removal and installation, jacking and leveling, alignment and retraction checks, and other related routine tasks. Perform miscellaneous duties such as service aircraft, flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes., • Additionally, Aircraft Mechanic should be able to:, • Inspect, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and test the current F-18 Type Model Series aircraft fuel systems and their assemblies and components., • Isolate the nature of trouble and extent of adjustment or repair required on refuel/cross‑feed mechanisms, pumps, pressure relief valves, fuel bladder removal, installation and leak detection/repair, and other aircraft fuel accessories., • Diagnose malfunctions and overhaul fuel accessories by disassembling, cleaning, and examining parts for corrosion, wear, scratches, cracks, or other damage, replacing gaskets and worn parts., • Reassemble accessories, adjust, and test to ensure proper operation in accordance with standards in technical specifications such as technical orders, microfilm, manufacturer specification manuals, part supply books, blueprints and schematic diagrams, rig cables and adjust associated fuel equipment and other aircraft features involving fuel., • Fabricate fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines, make modifications of aircraft fuel equipment as required by technical orders, use standard and specialized tools and measuring devices of the trade to complete assignments., • Fabricate fuel, oil, and vacuum hose lines, make modifications of aircraft fuel equipment as required by technical orders, use standard and specialized tools and measuring devices of the trade to complete assignments., • Administration Duties:, • Comply with all required trainings and other administrative functions required by the company and the customer., • Assist in maintaining NAMP Programs, ensure contract artisans follow Ground Operating Procedures, and ensure personnel comply with safety procedures., • Minimum Qualifications, • Education: Require a high school diploma or its equivalent., • Experience: Minimum experience or military experience as aircraft mechanic., • Other Requirements:, • Must pass background investigation for Secret Clearance., • U.S. Citizenship required as this position will require the ability to access US‑only data system., • Must be able to pass a NACI, which could include a credit check., • We maintain a drug‑free workplace and perform post‑offer, pre‑employment substance abuse testing., • Will be required to travel across FRCSW sites throughout the US and outside the Continental United States., • Skills & Technology Used, • Analytical Thinking & Problem Solving:, • Possesses both analytical and interpersonal skills., • Good problem solving, negotiation and organizational skills/techniques., • Working knowledge with Advance Skill Management (ASM) or willing to learn the functions., • To be able to perform research, a working knowledge with the following is preferred: electronic publications like Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), knowledge in navigating NATEC website to access Technical Publications, service bulletins, technical publications, blueprints, IPB, MIM, LES, LPS and TEI., • Business Partner/Effective Communicator:, • English language skills to communicate with customers., • Strong communicator must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally., • Ability to train others., • Customer service oriented, detail focused, pro‑active behavior, multi‑task capability., • Software:, • Microsoft Office Suite., • Computer, printer, copy machine and other general office equipment., • Must be knowledgeable in navigating computer functions to access company timesheet systems and training requirements, and to be able to access FRCSW share drives - mandatory trainings and timekeeping systems., • What We Bring, • At V2X we strive to be market competitive in our total reward offerings., • The successful candidate’s starting pay will be based on the current rate agreed in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for this site., • USD $91,000 - $94,000, • Employee benefits include the following:, • Healthcare coverage., • Life insurance, AD&D, and disability benefits., • Retirement plan., • Wellness programs., • Paid time off, including holidays., • Learning and Development resources., • Employee assistance resources., • Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time and may be modified at the discretion of the company, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans., • Entry level, • Full‑time, • Engineering and Information Technology #J-18808-Ljbffr
