The Communications team leverages creativity, strategy, and skill to manage all aspects of both external and internal communications for RICK. This position is very dynamic, with multiple opportunities for taking leads on projects and tasks, exposure to several aspects of communication and various areas of the industry, mentoring and learning opportunities, and the chance to be a part of an enthusiastic and collaborative team focused on success. We’re seeking a motivated, innovative communicator ready to hit the ground running and dive into a variety of projects and initiatives. Creativity, enthusiasm, and curiosity are at the forefront of this role, with tasks including intranet management, content creation and curation, internal news articles, company culture support and enhancement, graphic design, event support, intranet training, and beyond. This position is primarily focused on internal communication, but will also involve other communications initiatives and tasks. Responsibilities • Serve as a solutions-oriented, valued member of our Communications team, working to support needs across the company and enhance multiple aspects of RICK’s internal and external communications, • Play an integral role in the development, design, building, promotion, training, and maintenance efforts for our award-winning, interactive intranet platform, the RICK Hub, • Curate, create, coordinate, and manage content, news stories, and resources for the RICK Hub, working with staff across the company, • Manage, enhance, and design graphics as needed for the RICK Hub, • Design basic to mid-level graphics, print materials, digital designs, event materials, etc. as needed, with attention to branding and effectiveness, • Provide communications-related support for company events, social gatherings, career fairs, committees, etc. and coordinate event promotions before and after in cooperation with other departments, staff, offices, etc., • Plan, coordinate, promote, and execute all events hosted or co-hosted by Communications, • Support, promote, and design strategy to advance RICK’s company values and culture, creating and carrying out communications initiatives to foster the successful infusion of culture and values across all offices, disciplines, and employees, • Provide RICK Hub and other as-needed communications trainings for staff and support all RICK Hub Champions, • Provide internal communications support for company initiatives, including but not limited to the Strategic Plan, Inclusive Community Committee, Cultural Habits Program, RICK Activities Committee (RAC), and others, • Transform complex or technical information into clear, concise, organized, and relatable graphic elements or content as needed, • Manage and lead or co-lead communications support and strategy for other internal programs, initiatives, and needs across the company, both by groups or offices and company wide, • Gain a solid understanding of our brand, our divisions, and the industry we work in, and conduct vital research to inform and develop ideas to enhance our communications, • Receive mentorship and actively engage in opportunities for learning and career development, • Collaborate with members of the Communications team, HR team, division leaders, and others to advance a wide variety of communications initiatives, • Participate in the evolution and influence of our communications initiatives with curiosity and a drive to continuously seek enhancement, • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English, public relations, journalism, or related field, • Work, school, and/or volunteer experience in a comparable role/roles, • Strong understanding of internal communications climates, needs, and strategy with the initiative to learn more, • Understanding of principles, strategies, and approaches to effective internal communication, • Experience with and proficiency in interactive intranet platforms, • Excellent written communication skills, including aptitude in writing, structure, grammar, interviewing, strategy, content creation, and editing, • Experience with graphic design and the ability to create thoughtful original designs, work from templates, and use graphic design programs effectively (e.g., Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) for a variety of needs and projects, • Interest in and experience with company and/or social event support and participation, • Experience with and an understanding of writing internal news articles and news pieces, • Understanding of organization, curation, and coordination for content and resource sharing, • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional;
