Job Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Specialist (Receiving Focus) is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, inspection, documentation, and inventory of all incoming materials to support daily manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring materials are properly identified and routed, and supporting production flow. Secondary responsibilities include limited shipping and material movement activities as business needs require. You Will: Receiving & Inventory Control (Primary Focus) • Receive all incoming materials, components, and finished goods in accordance with established procedures, • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and compliance with purchase orders and documentation, • Unpack, label, and properly identify materials using RPO standards, • Accurately process all receiving transactions in the Epicor ERP system, • Route and/or deliver materials to appropriate departments and production areas, • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper put-away, FIFO control, and daily cycle counts, • Identify, segregate, and communicate issues related to shortages, damage, or non-conforming material, • Pick, kit, and deliver materials to manufacturing areas as needed, • Return completed parts, WIP, excess, or non-conforming materials back to inventory, • Unload delivery vehicles using carts, pallet jacks, and forklifts (as trained), • Assist with packing and shipping of finished goods as required, • Ensure customer-specific packaging and documentation requirements are met, • Help schedule shipments with UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL carriers, and local delivery services, • Communicate effectively with production, purchasing, quality, and management regarding material status or issues, • Troubleshoot receiving, inventory, or system discrepancies to resolution, • Follow all safety, quality, ITAR, and regulatory requirements You Have: • High school diploma or GED required, Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred, • 3+ years of experience in receiving, warehouse, or inventory control within a manufacturing environment, • Strong understanding of receiving processes, material flow, and inventory accuracy, • Experience working with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and basic computer applications, • High attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills, • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods, • Detail-Driven: Accuracy matters to you, and you take pride in doing it right the first time, • Process-Focused: You follow procedures and look for ways to improve them, • Accountable: You own your work and understand its impact on production, • Problem-Solving: You proactively identify and resolve issues, • Team-Oriented: Reliable, flexible, and willing to support where needed, • A U.S. Person: Compliant with ITAR, EAR and other laws and regulations as defined: “U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents ("Green Card" holders), persons granted refugee status or asylum status in the United States, or temporary residents granted amnesty.” You Will Enjoy: • Growth: Opportunities to learn, cross-train, and advance your career, • Wealth: Competitive compensation and 401(k) with company match, • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance, • Balance: 11 paid holidays, generous paid vacation and sick time., • Culture: An energetic, caring, fun, value-driven team.
