Job DescriptionJob Title: Maintenance MechanicJob Description As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery, including the specialized 'Tiger' machine. This role involves making necessary repairs and adjustments to machinery, assisting in dismantling machinery to replace defective components, and operating shop tools and equipment related to maintenance. Responsibilities • Perform repairs and adjustments to machinery and assist in dismantling machinery to repair or replace components., • Operate shop tools and equipment related to maintenance., • Assist with electrical projects and perform minor electrical repairs., • Conduct pipe fitting tasks and perform some installation tasks independently., • Engage in repairs of power industrial equipment and assist in rebuilding related equipment., • Participate in the installation of new plant equipment., • Improve the reliability and operating efficiency of plant equipment., • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently., • Support site housekeeping and safety programs to maintain a clean and safe workplace., • Participate in completing other related tasks and duties as required.Essential Skills, • Knowledge of conveyors, chain, roller, and gravity systems., • Experience with PLC/Drive troubleshooting and ladder logic troubleshooting., • Understanding of hydraulic hoses, 3-phase motors, and various valves., • Familiarity with aggregate systems and using multimeters., • Ability to work with conveyor belts.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • At least one year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment., • Ability to read basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams., • Familiarity with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring or circuits and diagnosing 115 VAC control circuitry., • Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs to conveyor systems., • Basic mechanical skills and understanding of diagnostic procedures., • Basic electrical knowledge, including reading schematics and using electrical meters., • Ability to operate a forklift and a man lift.
