Job Description Hiring for Diesel Mechanic in Queens, NY paying up to $28 per hour Job Description We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing truck repair and maintenance work in line with factory and industry standards, running diagnostics on vehicles, and collaborating closely with team members to achieve company goals. Responsibilities • Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and buses., • Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes., • Maintain parts inventory and ensure cleanliness in the shop., • Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose vehicle problems and plan repairs., • Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks., • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a mechanic., • Experience with diagnostic and repair of engines., • Experience working with cooling and analog systems., • CDL License is a plus but not required. Work Environment Candidates will work indoors in a mechanic shop, which can be cold in winter and hot in summer. The culture is laid-back with team members supporting each other. Mechanics will work alongside lead mechanics. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, and the company provides uniforms. Must be open to working one of the shifts: First Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jamaica, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
