Job Description Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Manager supports both the Quality and Operations Departments in ensuring that all products consistently meet or exceed the company’s quality and safety standards, as well as all applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be energetic, positive, an effective communicator, and receptive to feedback. They should have a solid understanding of the company’s business and manufacturing processes and be able to apply this knowledge when offering guidance and recommendations to relevant team members. This role requires close collaboration with the sales, marketing, and operations teams to provide feedback and critical information that drive improvements and uphold product safety and quality. Candidates must reside in the Atlanta area to be considered for this role. Key Skills Required • Strong analytical mindset, decision-making and problem-solving skills, • Ability to influence – communicate clearly and concisely to gain alignment and drive action across varying audiences, • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, • Time management and project management skills a must!, • Attention to details and dedication to getting things right Juice Manufacturing Quality & Compliance Oversight • Ensure juice is manufactured, assembled, and tested according to company, licensor, and regulatory requirements., • Monitor conformance to product specifications and food safety requirements., • Review and respond to juice nonconformance; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)., • Manage raw material and finished product testing, batch record reviews, and quality trend reporting., • Maintain and update all quality and safety documentation (SOPs, GMPs, SSOPs, specifications, COAs, logs, audits, lab results, traceability, certifications)., • Manage document control, revision history, and electronic recordkeeping for reporting and historical purposes., • Evaluate nonconforming product using batch records, lab results, complaints, and testing data., • Quarantine, control, and disposition held items (rework, release, destruction)., • Manage the complaints program, including escalated consumer cases and communication with third-party claim agencies and insurance., • Support Marketing in handling social media–related consumer concerns., • Analyze complaint trends and ensure CAPA implementation and effectiveness., • Provide daily guidance, training, coaching, and development for two Quality Administrators., • Manage workload allocation, project assignments, performance reviews, and time-off approval., • Review COAs, perform laboratory testing coordination, hold or release raw materials., • Report ingredient testing trends and support supplier approval decisions., • Conduct internal/external training on SOPs, HACCP, GMPs, traceability, food safety, and co-packer/vendor standards., • Maintain training files and ensure compliance with annual training requirements., • Oversee quarterly third-party product testing, result review, compliance verification, and related CAPA activities., • Perform quality testing; identify defects; execute hold procedures., • Apply HACCP, sanitation, labeling, and GMP requirements during evaluations., • Manage special assignments from the Director of Quality and COO., • Lead the Quality Department in the Director’s absence. Required: • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred., • 8–10 years of experience in the food industry, customer service/call center environment, or a science-related field (e.g., microbiology, food science, food technology, biology)., • Position is preferably hybrid based in Atlanta; fully remote candidates may be considered., • Ability to travel up to 25%., • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related computer applications., • Strong decision-making abilities with excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with basic mathematical concepts., • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and meet all requirements., • Able to work with a sense of urgency while upholding all safety standards., • Capable of stooping, bending, lifting, twisting, and standing for extended periods., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds., • We are looking for someone with a passion for service.
