The goal is for every identified youth survivor of sex trafficking to have access to non-punitive, responsive, high-quality, community-based services that meet their unique short-term and longer-term needs. Care coordination includes awareness, education, creativity, collaboration, continuous learning, and capacity-building to identify and recover CSEY youth. Care coordination teams build trust, transparency, and solutions with each other to mitigate duplication of work and ensure that local and statewide partners are bridges instead of barriers to services for youth and their families. The Bilingual Licensed Therapist will perform initial evaluations of client needs and develop customized treatment plans, educate staff and clients on stress and trauma coping mechanisms, provide individuals with the resources they need to reach personal goals, monitor client progress and modify their treatment plans as needed. Core Functions • Provide therapy services to agency clients following established, published therapeutic theories as preferred by the therapist and approved by the Clinical Supervisor., • Maintain a clinical schedule meeting the following requirements., • 25 direct client hours per week, • 4 evening individual client hours per week (5 pm and later) – weekend hours may meet this requirement, • When located within 40 miles of a Texas Health Action office with therapy space, therapist will be required to include 4 in-person session availabilities per week., • Maintain clinical information confidentially unless required or authorized to disclose information., • Complete intake assessments and clinical diagnoses using the current version of the Diagnostic and Statistics Manual (DSM) for all new clients within 14 days of an initial appointment., • Maintain accurate, current clinical progress notes of all clinical services provided., • Complete administrative tasks related to appointments within required timeframes., • Attend weekly and monthly meetings and supervisions as scheduled., • Participate in agency committees as appropriate, specifically if within 40 miles of any Texas Health Action office/clinic, attend at least one THA community or team event per year., • Performs other duties as assigned. Compensation Based on the position’s duties and requirements, this role has a starting annual salary of $64,084. The initial salary will be determined by the selected candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience. Requirements Education and/or Licensure • Master's or Doctorate degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field., • Licensure to practice clinical services from the State of Texas Licensing Board is required (Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor) Experience • 2+ years of clinical experience, ideally working directly with clients., • Experience with marginalized groups and/or LGBTQ+ communities helpful but not required., • Must be knowledgeable in the current DSM classification manual., • Microsoft Office Skills, with an ability to become familiar with Company specific programs or software. Job Responsibilities: • Respond to calls from law enforcement and other referral sources when on call; arrive at the survivors location within the required time frame, • Meet immediate physical needs - clothes, food, toiletries, etc., • Provide ongoing field-based advocacy, case management, and emotional support, • Independently coordinate referrals, service planning, and documentation of services for assigned caseload, • Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop service plans, and make independent decisions in the field regarding the safety and well-being of assigned clients, • Provide transportation to appointments and services as needed and as feasible, • Meet with each assigned survivor every other week if in town; meet with survivors placed out-of-town monthly; maintain communication through other means in between weekly meetings, • In collaboration with the client, help create and update safety plans, • Attend CPS case staffings and MDT emergency response meetings and scheduled staffings, • Document all interactions with survivors and partner agencies within 72 hours, • Build and maintain good relationships with organizations that provide services relevant to trafficking survivors, • Alert supervisor when difficult situations arise, • Recognize red flag behavior and report to supervisor, • Convey a service-oriented approach:, • Communicate an eagerness to be helpful, starting with every referral, initial contact, and/or initial engagement and continuing through service delivery, with all stakeholders., • Provide those seeking assistance with help, even when they are ineligible for advocate services or are seeking something outside Unbound Nows scope., • When referring someone, offer a warm handoff to others whenever possible., • Balance the limitations of the advocate role with being resourceful, including seeking help from others as needed., • Be consistent, reliable, and flexible., • Collaborate actively in support of partners objectives., • Ensure case management in collaboration with ongoing system and service- or investigation-based case management, continuing case management beyond others eligibility parameters.
