Program Description: PHS’ Community Health and Nutrition Access Program helps New York residents obtain free or low-cost health insurance coverage, apply for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, also known as Food Stamps), and through our WIC program, provides nutrition education sessions led by WIC nutritionists on healthy eating and physical activity, breastfeeding support, and eWIC cards to purchase nutritious foods. Our staff members are culturally and linguistically competent and identify with the communities they serve. They help clients navigate through what can be a complicated and confusing application process, step by step. Each year, we help over 22,000 people apply for or renew free or low-cost health insurance coverage, 14,000 people to apply for SNAP, and 35,000 eligible pregnant and nursing women and children up to five years of age to enroll in the New York State WIC (Women Infants and Children) Program. Position Summary: Under the general supervision of the Sr. ABD Program Manager and Director of Health Insurance Enrollment, Facilitated Enrollers (FEs) will work with clients at prioritized community-based sites serving the aged, blind, and disabled (ABD) populations. This role will encompass assisting clients with the application process for public health insurance and educate consumers about insurance options, benefits, length and terms of coverage and application process as well as about managed care, health plans, and primary/preventive care. FEs will provide guidance to consumers on required documentation and assist consumers with health insurance applications. This includes a variety of tasks from greeting and hosting guests and acting as a positive, outgoing representative of the e.I.f. brand to ensuring that all equipment and systems are maintained, office supplies and kitchen items are ordered, stocked and organized.Responsibilities: • Organizing, greeting and hosting guests and visitors., • As needed, order, organize and maintain weekly food deliveries for office and/or place and manage formal catered food orders for larger meetings and events., • Ensure all common areas, kitchen and restrooms are appropriately maintained and stocked by regular checks., • Manage the e.l.f. product closet including pulling product as needed, replenishing, organizing and ordering e.I.f. products from warehouse to keep appropriate stock levels., • Manage the office mail and messenger/ delivery service for the office.
