About Lighthouse ABA Lighthouse ABA provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and families, delivering high-quality, individualized care across our service areas. Behind every child who receives services is a coordinated effort to make sure care is authorized, covered, and never interrupted. The Insurance Coordinator sits at the center of that effort. Position Summary We're looking for a detail-driven Insurance Coordinator to own the eligibility and authorization side of our ABA services. In this role, you make sure every client has active insurance coverage and valid authorization in place before and throughout their care --- verifying benefits, securing initial authorizations, and staying ahead of re-authorization deadlines so that no child's services lapse. You'll be the connective tissue between payers, our clinical team, and families, translating insurance requirements into clear next steps and keeping our authorization pipeline accurate and current. This is a role for someone who is organized, persistent, and detail oriented --- someone who takes real ownership of deadlines and follows through until each authorization is confirmed. Position is full-time and compensation is based on experience ranging between $25-30/hr. Key Responsibilities Eligibility & Benefits Verification • Confirm that referrals, diagnoses, and required documentation meet each payer's criteria for ABA services., • Confirm new coverage whenever a client's coverage changes. Authorization & Re-authorization Management • Prepare and submit initial authorization requests for ABA assessments and treatment, ensuring each packet is complete and payer-compliant., • Track every active authorization --- units approved, units used, and expiration dates --- and initiate re-authorizations well ahead of deadlines to prevent any lapse in services., • Coordinate with BCBAs and the clinical team to gather assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and supporting documentation required for authorization and continued-care requests., • Monitor authorization status through submission, follow-up, and approval, escalating delays and resolving payer requests for additional information. Payer & Internal Coordination • Serve as the primary point of contact with our insurance team, • Keep clinical, intake, and billing teams informed of authorization status, upcoming expirations, and any coverage issues that could affect a client's schedule., • Communicate coverage and authorization details clearly to families when needed, in plain, supportive language. Records & Compliance • Maintain accurate, up-to-date authorization records in our systems (client management platform and payer portals), ensuring dates, units, and documentation are always current., • Track key dates and maintain a reliable tickler/reminder system so re-authorizations are never missed., • Handle all client and health information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational privacy standards. Qualifications Required • 1+ years of experience in insurance verification, prior authorizations, or a related healthcare administrative role (ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric therapy experience strongly preferred)., • Working knowledge of insurance concepts --- eligibility, benefits, authorizations, medical necessity, and payer requirements., • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage many deadlines at once without letting anything slip., • Clear, professional written and verbal communication., • Comfort working in insurance portals, EHR/practice-management systems, and standard office software (spreadsheets, email)., • Persistence and comfort with payer follow-up --- including phone calls and appeals of incomplete or delayed requests., • A discreet, professional approach to confidential health information (HIPAA). I’m looking for an experienced freelance content creator/video editor to help me create consistent lifestyle content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media platforms. This would be a flexible, part-time freelance role not a full-time position. You must have prior experience creating and editing social media content. I’m looking for someone who is creative, very tech-savvy, understands current social media trends and algorithms, and can edit content quickly and efficiently. A lot of my content will focus on lifestyle, mom life, GRWMs, “come with me” videos, day-in-the-life content, voiceovers, fashion/beauty, and everyday moments. Some weeks, I’ll film the content myself and will just need you to edit and piece everything together. Other times, I’d like you to meet with me in person to help film, brainstorm ideas, plan content, and bring different concepts to life. I’m looking for someone who can: • Edit approximately 3–4 videos per week, • Have proven experience editing content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and other social platforms, • Create smooth transitions and trendy, professional-looking edits, • Clip longer footage into engaging short-form content, • Help with GRWM, lifestyle, mom, fashion/beauty, and “come with me” style videos, • Help film content when needed, • Help record and edit voiceovers so they flow naturally, • Understand hooks, pacing, trending sounds, captions, transitions, and what keeps viewers engaged, • Stay up to date with TikTok, Instagram, and social media trends and algorithm changes, • Help brainstorm content ideas and plan what to film, • Occasionally meet with me in person to film, brainstorm, and create content together, • Be comfortable giving creative input and helping me develop my personal brand, • Be very tech-savvy and comfortable using editing apps, social media platforms, cameras, phones, and other content creation tools, • Be reliable, organized, flexible, and able to turn around edits quickly, • Be experienced, confident, and able to work independently without needing to be taught basic editing or content creation I’m really looking for someone who can become my go-to creative person almost a mix between a content assistant, videographer, and editor. I want someone I can bounce ideas off of, show my creative process to, brainstorm with, and eventually be able to send raw footage to and trust that they’ll know how to turn it into content that fits my style and personal brand. This would start as a freelance/as-needed position with approximately 3–4 videos per week, with the opportunity for more work as my content grows. Compensation: $20–$30/hour depending on experience and the type of work needed. For editing-only projects, I’m also open to agreeing on a flat rate per video. Experience is required. When applying, please send: • Your résumé, • A portfolio or examples of videos/social media content you have personally filmed and/or edited, • Your availability, • Your usual hourly and/or per-video rate, • Any relevant experience with TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, lifestyle, mom, beauty, or fashion content I especially want to see actual edited videos so I can get a feel for your editing style, transitions, pacing, and creativity. The Part-time Student Success & Pathways Officer at The Cooper Union expands access to The Cooper Union’s precollege STEM programs by actively managing the student recruitment and engagement pipeline from initial outreach through application, enrollment, and early academic persistence. Student Success & Pathways Officer — Revised Job Description TITLE: Student Success & Pathways Officer DEPARTMENT: STEM Pre-College Programs (STEM Outreach), School of Engineering REPORTS TO: Director of STEM Outreach TYPE: Part-time: 25 hours/week, Exempt, Non-Union Last Edited: 08.15.2026 JOB SUMMARY The Part-time Student Success & Pathways Officer expands access to The Cooper Union’s precollege STEM programs by actively managing the student recruitment and engagement pipeline from initial outreach through application, enrollment, and early academic persistence. This is a high-autonomy, hands-on role for a fast-paced thinker and exceptionally strong independent operator who can move fluidly between strategy and execution. The successful candidate must be able to identify what needs to happen next, investigate details, solve problems, make sound judgment calls, and move work forward without waiting for step-by-step direction or administrative support. The Officer serves as a one-person recruitment, engagement, and student-pathways operation within the STEM Pre-College Programs team. This individual must be equally comfortable developing a recruitment strategy, calling a school counselor, analyzing application conversion data, cleaning a CRM record, following up with a family, troubleshooting an enrollment issue, creating a tracking system, and noticing that an important detail has fallen through the cracks. This role is best suited for someone who: • Thinks quickly and critically and can assess a situation, determine priorities, and act., • Is naturally inclined to get into the weeds and investigate details rather than assuming someone else will handle them., • Demonstrates exceptional follow-through and is persistent about closing loops., • Can manage multiple active recruitment and student-engagement priorities simultaneously., • Works independently and does not require an assistant or extensive administrative infrastructure to remain organized and effective., • Understands that successful recruitment depends not only on outreach, but also on meticulous tracking, timely follow-up, relationship management, and conversion., • Can distinguish between what is urgent, what is important, and what requires escalation to the Director., • Takes ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks. This is a student-facing, partner-facing, strategic and execution-oriented position grounded in relationship-based recruitment, pathway navigation, operational excellence, and data-informed decision-making. It is not a clerical or administrative “catch-all” position; however, the successful candidate must be willing and able to personally execute the detailed operational work necessary to produce results. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TIME ALLOCATION 1. Strategic Access, Engagement & Recruitment — 6.5 Hours Strategic Focus: Build strong, productive referral pathways that generate qualified applicants while personally managing the details required to move prospective students from awareness to action. Responsibilities: • Build and deepen referral pathways with STEM teachers, guidance counselors, school departments, school leaders, and community-based organizations., • Identify high-potential schools, communities, organizations, and recruitment channels rather than relying solely on broad-volume outreach., • Prioritize fit, preparedness, and conversion over outreach volume alone., • Conduct school visits, information sessions, recruitment presentations, and Zoom meetings for prospective students, families, educators, and partners., • Proactively contact schools and community partners by email and phone rather than waiting for inbound inquiries., • Develop and maintain a comprehensive High School and Community Partner Database., • Maintain accurate records of outreach, responses, follow-ups, referrals, and recruitment outcomes., • Identify stalled relationships or recruitment opportunities and independently determine appropriate follow-up., • Track prospective students and referral sources through the recruitment funnel., • Coordinate recruitment activity with STEM Ambassadors and ensure outreach assignments are completed., • Continually assess which recruitment strategies are producing applicants and adjust efforts accordingly. 2. Student Pathway Navigation — 7.0 Hours Strategic Focus: Ensure students and families clearly understand program opportunities, admissions expectations, readiness requirements, deadlines, and next steps. Responsibilities: • Facilitate structured student and family touchpoints, including office hours, individual pathway consultations, and application support sessions., • Explain admissions standards, timelines, prerequisites, academic-readiness thresholds, and course requirements., • Help students determine which STEM Pre-College opportunities are appropriate for their interests, experience, and academic preparation., • Conduct virtual consultations to support students navigating the application process., • Identify application or enrollment barriers and actively work with families to resolve them., • Clearly communicate the Student and Parent Code of Conduct and program expectations., • Follow up with students and families when required information, documents, decisions, or actions remain outstanding., • Maintain accurate records of significant student and family interactions., • Recognize recurring areas of confusion and recommend improvements to communications, processes, FAQs, or recruitment materials. 3. Enrollment & Application First-Glance Review — 2.5 Hours Strategic Focus: Maintain momentum across active application cycles by identifying incomplete, incorrectly submitted, or stalled applications before they become lost enrollments.
