About Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Team (MRRCT): The Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Team (MRRCT or “Meerkat”) at DESC, is a county funded program responsible for addressing the imminent and emergent needs of community members in crisis, in the central region of King County primarily covering the entirety of Seattle. The DESC team has been providing mobile crisis response services to the community for well over a decade. JOB DEFINITION: Each Crisis Outreach Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring their team’s timely, effective, and coordinated response into the field as they are dispatched and deployed by Crisis Connections. Shift Supervisors work alongside the staff they supervise providing real-time, on the ground supervision, coaching and guidance for how to resolve crisis situations their teams are responding to in the community. Crisis Outreach Shift Supervisors have the responsibility of implementing the systems created by the MRRCT program leadership related to proper documentation standards, implementation and adherence to DESC policies and procedures, supervision and performance management of their team, and ensuring their team members participate in all relevant training and on-going education necessary. As part of the MRRCT each shift supervisor will at times be responsible for providing clinical and psychosocial assessments in the field and mental health evaluations to determine least restrictive alternatives to involuntary treatment. They will partner with an interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and a consistently therapeutic milieu for all patients. Job Description URS Team Leader Urban Rest Stop Posted on: January 12, 2025 Location: URS Ballard Hours: 6:00am to 3:00pm Monday to Friday Reports To: URS Manager Pay Range: $23.67 - $30.15 Position Type: Exempt, non-union position. Our Urban Rest Stop hygiene centers provide people experiencing homelessness access to showers, toiletries, and laundry services in a clean, safe, respectful environment. The URS Team Leader is responsible for the greeting, assisting and monitoring patrons who come to the Urban Rest Stop. This position also is responsible for maintaining a high level of service and cleanliness in the facility. They also lead, train and schedule the URS Team Members and any volunteers that come in. Responsibilities: Customer Service ● Ensure that the Urban Rest Stop provides a clean, safe and welcoming environment at all times. ● Schedule appointments for daily use of the showers and laundry facilities. ● Monitor use of all agency facilities, and monitor the patrons and their behaviors throughout the facility. ● Provides personal assistance to patrons, when necessary. ● Distribute personal care items as requested and when donations are available. ● Distribute shower towel use and return, in accordance with agency procedures. ● Enforce Rest Stop Rules and Procedures to ensure the safety and security of patrons, staff and the facility. ● Mediate and de-escalate conflicts and model appropriate problem solving strategies. ● Implement Rest Stop Security Procedures when necessary. ● Document all such incidents in Daily Log and submit Incident Report to URS Manager. ● Provide information to Urban Rest Stop patrons regarding resources etc as needed. ● Contact other community agencies when specific patron assistance is required, i.e. Public Health and Seattle Police Officers. ● Must wear a mask at all times while on-site. The Admission Coordinator works closely with the Admission Manager to maintain an intake schedule that may vary on a weekly basis. They also work closely with all other operations teams to facilitate efficient communications, intake processing and support effective population management. KEY OR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Monitors surrender requests via email, phone and walk-in., • Follows outlined procedure for information collection, review, and input for all surrender requests., • Works closely with Behavior Admission Coordinator for review, intake, and pathway planning for pets who have known behavior concerns upon intake., • Meets and engages with clients for surrender appointments.
