Job Summary: The Senior Compliance Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that ensures full compliance with automotive standards, including IATF 16949, VDA requirements, and customer-specific requirements (CSRs). This role leads internal and external audits, drives continuous improvement, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports operational excellence across manufacturing and the supply chain. The Senior Compliance Engineer will collaborate with their team and demonstrate the company's values of accountability, teamwork, and integrity. Main Responsibilities: • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the QMS in compliance with IATF 16949, VDA standards, and ISO 9001., • Ensure alignment of quality policies, procedures, and work instructions across all operations., • Drive standardization and harmonization of processes across sites and suppliers., • Ensure compliance with applicable automotive regulations, customer-specific requirements, and statutory requirements., • Act as the primary point of contact for external certification bodies and customer audits., • Maintain readiness for audits including IATF surveillance, VDA 6.3 process audits, and VDA 6.5 product audits., • Plan, execute, and manage internal audits, layered process audits (LPA), and system audits., • Coordinate and lead customer audits and third-party certification audits., • Track audit performance metrics and ensure timely closure of non-conformities., • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone., • Support implementation of FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA) aligned with AIAG & VDA harmonized standards., • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and KPI monitoring., • Develop and deliver training programs related to QMS, VDA standards, and compliance requirements., • Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field, • 8–12+ years of experience in quality management, • Strong experience with IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and VDA 6.5, • Proven track record managing audits, compliance, and QMS in a manufacturing environment, • Certified VDA 6.3 Process Auditor (required), • VDA 6.5 Product Auditor (preferred), • IATF 16949 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor, • Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred), • APQP, PPAP, FMEA (AIAG & VDA), MSA, SPC, • Root cause problem solving (8D, A3), • Audit management systems and quality tools, • ERP/MES/QMS software experience, • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, • Excellent communication and stakeholder management, • High attention to detail with a compliance-driven mindset, • Ability to influence culture and drive change, • Manufacturing environment with frequent interaction on the shop floor
