Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. JOB PURPOSE : Responsible for the staffing, organization, operation, budget, and maintenance of all activities related to QA monitoring of production activities, assuring that materials and products are inspected and released in compliance with cGMP guidelines, USP and FDA, EU requirements. The Quality Engineer in the Global Industrial Applications Pre & Post Market Quality team will be fully involved in managing quality processes during product development as well as during the product lifecycle. Primary Duties: • Monitor a product portfolio intended to food and/or pharmaceutical industrial diagnostic (reagents, instruments, software; microbiology, molecular biology, immunology); as such, you will be: Member of the project teams for developing or modifying these products. WHAT WE ARE HUNGRY FOR The position of Quality Control Manager is responsible for auditing Paris Baguette’s standards for all our food, baked products, and beverages while ensuring all-around quality assurance for such products across all of our cafes, with an emphasis on ensuring compliance to company policies and procedures, food safety standards, government regulations, and following up that we are using best practice standards and continually improving programs in place. KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Champion adherence of all elements of the food safety and quality roadmap to ensure integration in all cafes., • Coach and advise the café teams to ensure an adherence to all Company standards regarding quality., • Monitor progress on opportunities and follow up with café teams to ensure corrective actions are taken to address issues where needed., • Partner with café production teams and district production managers to provide any necessary feedback to ensure consistency in production standards., • Address non-compliance concerns by supporting district managers and district production managers with follow up suggestions for corrective actions needed in cafes based on assessments and visits., • Support café production teams and District Production Managers by reinforcing updates and product specification changes as necessary., • Audit external suppliers for food safety, food quality, and ingredient specification compliance., • Inspect ingredients, packaging materials, and finished products for compliance with company standards and specifications., • Help conduct studies to identify problems, potential problems, or continuous improvement opportunities relating to food quality and food safety., • Utilize data collection, trend information, and analysis to drive continuous improvement, • Format and compose weekly, monthly and annual QC quality and food safety reports, • Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE • Related bachelor’s degree, preferably in Food Science, Engineering or Business Administration, • At least 1-2 years’ relevant experience, • Knowledge of food production processes, sanitation, quality programs, • Knowledge of food production techniques, food microbiology and food sanitary safety practices and procedures, • Flexible, adaptive, upbeat, open and visible work style, with a successful track record of supporting operations leaders across a large geographically decentralized portfolio., • Passion for people! This role can report into any of our manufacturing facilities to include: Corona, CA/Pennsauken, NJ/Macedon, NY or Williamson, NY (hybrid with up to 40% travel). WHAT WE NEED The Sanitation Program Manager is vital for reducing microbiological and chemical risks and preventing product contamination and will be responsible for directing the Sanitation program across the organization's manufacturing locations. This role is essential in ensuring all current Food Safety Standards are met and driving sanitation excellence throughout the enterprise. The Sanitation Program Manager will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive sanitation and hygienic design standards and programs, including SSOPs, and ensure their consistent application company-wide. This role will provide sanitation expertise, training, and troubleshooting support and will be responsible for the management of sanitation chemical programs and pest control across all sites. Through regular audits and inspections, this role will identify risks, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to standards and regulations. WHAT YOU WILL DO Leadership & Oversight • Direct sanitation and production teams to ensure safe, effective cleaning (CIP, COP, manual)., • Develop and standardize sanitation programs and procedures, including SSOP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, BRC, and SQF standards., • Maintain and annually review the Master Sanitation Schedule and SSOPs., • Manage sanitation changeover matrix and support new product cleaning needs., • Troubleshoot sanitation and quality issues; implement corrective actions., • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE use, and training requirements., • Maintain documentation for regulatory and customer audits., • Partner with Quality/Food Safety to validate sanitation effectiveness., • Coordinate corrective/preventive actions for environmental monitoring and allergen validation., • Supervise microbiology team; ensure accurate, timely testing using validated methods., • Oversee external partners (chemical suppliers, pest control)., • Analyze chemical needs; recommend vendors with Procurement., • Maintain chemical safety procedures and SDSs., • Lead chemical handling and sanitation training (onboarding and annual). WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (Master’s preferred)., • Multi-site experience is preferred., • 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing (or closely related industry) sanitation, including CIP/COP systems., • Strong knowledge of food safety standards (FDA, GFSI (SQF), HACCP, GMP)., • Experience being the subject matter expert in sanitation programs, audits, and regulatory compliance., • Proven leadership skills, including cross-functionally/outside of direct management., • Familiarity with environmental monitoring, allergen control, and microbiological testing., • Knowledge and experience with Aseptic systems and Sterilization in Place (SIP) is preferred.
