The mission of New York Edge is to help bridge the opportunity gap among underserved students by providing programs designed to improve academic performance, health and wellness, self-confidence, character and attitudes for success in life. Summary: The Program Manager has overall responsibility for the operation and success of 6 - 8 comprehensive after-school programs based in a K-12 school within the five boroughs. The Program Manager will be responsible for contract compliance, curriculum development, training, implementation of enrichment activities and theme based projects, recruitment of staff, scheduling of activities, daily supervision of Program Directors, record keeping and reporting and assist with the planning and organizing of special events and monitor budgeting. The Program Manager is the primary liaison between New York Edge and school principals, between Program Director and New York Edge staff, between Program Director and funding source. New York Edge Program Manager must embrace positive child and youth development principles and practices. Responsibilities: Essential Job Functions: • The Residential Director is responsible for assisting the Senior Shelter Director with the day-to-day residential operations of the shelter program. Minimum Experiences and Skills Required: • Two (2) years of supervisory experience., • Good written & verbal communication, and interpersonal skills., • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel., • Strong Computer literacy in other Microsoft Office Suite products., • Bilingual in any other language Pre and/or Post Employment Requirements: • Complete pre-employment requirements such as the State Central Registry (SCR) clearance, The Register of Substantiated Category One Cases of Abuse or Neglect aka Staff Exclusion List (SEL) clearance and Criminal history information checks via fingerprinting with New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services prior to start of employment., • TB test required., • Ability to maintain clearances throughout the duration of employment., • Required to become First Aid/CPR certified., • Required to become certified in overdose prevention., • Must be on call 24/7 and may be required to work some holidays Compensation: $77,000 - $82,000 annually When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
