Job Summary: The person occupying this position is responsible for performing routine building maintenance and construction tasks in one or more fields (e.g., carpentry, concrete, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, etc.) for the Real Estate Division. The person occupying this position is expected to represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner. Duties/Responsibilities: • Perform and/or assist with all construction and maintenance tasks, • Responsible for executing tasks related to preventative maintenance programs, • Working knowledge of carpentry, concrete, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, welding, etc., • Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for assigned tasks, • Work well in a team environment, • Willing to learn and share knowledge of trade skills, • Perform basic mathematical functions, • Follow safe work practices with hand tools and power tools, • Safely operate equipment (boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, telehandlers, etc.), • Ensure all Life Safety Measures are maintained and in good working order, • Snow removal/salting of surfaces as needed to maintain safe ingress and egress of all properties Skills/Abilities: • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, • Ability to work at different heights from elevated platforms, • Exhibits a high level of safety awareness, • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, • Ability to work alternate shifts as needed Education and Experience: • Required: Minimum two years’ of related construction experience, • Required: Valid Driver’s License, • Preferred: Previous experience in the operation of heavy equipment, industrial equipment, or CDL Physical and/or Travel Requirements: • Requires heavy physical work; frequent heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds, • Long periods of overhead work must be tolerated, • The ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time is required Benefits: • Paid time off and Holidays, • Simplified Employee Pension Plan, • Health Insurance, • Group Life Insurance, • Tuition Reimbursement, • Gallup Leadership Development training Erlen Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
