American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in San Bernadino, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ED - Emergency Department, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 12/08/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is in the Emergency Room of an acute care setting, • 24-bed ER with fast track services managed in a separate area, • Patient volume averages 250 visits per day, • Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 2:1 to 4:1, • Varied 12-hour shifts, primarily nights, with start times between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., • Weekend coverage required every other weekend, with the possibility of every weekend during staffing shortages, • Holiday work is expected based on staff rotation, • No floating required for this assignment, • Uses Cerner PowerChart EMR; Cerner experience preferred, • Monitors include 22 hardwired GE telemetry units, • Ventilators managed by RT; 24/7 access to RT and pharmacy support, • Team includes dedicated charge nurse (no assignment), ER techs, and coverage by MDs, PAs, and NPs, • Responsible for managing a variety of emergency and acute cases including STEMI, cardiac, sepsis, stroke, DKA, ETOH, and behavioral health, • No inpatient pediatric or behavioral health unit; private or overflow rooms available for behavioral cases, • Phlebotomists perform lab draws except for central lines, • ER techs provide assistance with technical duties and serve as patient sitters, • First-time travelers are welcome to apply, • Scrub color requirement: RN must wear blue scrubs, • One day of unit-specific orientation provided, • Candidates residing in AZ, NV, NE, IA, and MN must live at least 50 miles from the facility\n \n Requirements\n, • Active RN license (State or Compact) required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted, • Minimum of 2 years current ER experience required, • Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS; all must be active and current, • Trauma experience preferred, • Two professional references: one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years with employment dates and rehire eligibility included, • Copy of current driver’s license required, • Must pass Relias Dysrhythmia exam and sterile technique skills check on orientation if applicable, • Candidates may not have worked directly (full time, part time, PRN) at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
