The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for driving the end-to-end planning function, including demand, master production, and material planning, to ensure reliable product availability, optimized inventory, and operational efficiency. This role oversees the development and execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) in partnership with the Master Planner, aligning customer demand with internal capacity and supply readiness. Operating within a highly regulated nutraceuticals environment, the Planning Manager ensures compliance with GMP standards while fostering cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Procurement, Quality, Operations, and Logistics. By leveraging data, systems, and best-in-class planning practices, this role supports company growth, enhances supply chain responsiveness, and leads continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen supply reliability and business agility. Key Responsibilities: • Manage demand planning, master scheduling, and material planning, ensuring full alignment of customer requirements with internal production capabilities and supply chain constraints., • Own the development and governance of the Master Production Schedule (MPS), working closely with the Master Planner to ensure it reflects accurate demand signals, capacity plans, and raw material readiness., • Drive cross-functional alignment by collaborating with Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless execution of production plans while maintaining high service levels and regulatory compliance., • Ensure robust planning controls and compliance with GMP, FDA, and food safety requirements by implementing and maintaining disciplined planning processes (e.g., lot control, shelf-life management, FEFO/FIFO, allergen segregation)., • Lead the management of planning master data in the ERP system (BOMs, routings, lead times), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and continuous improvement to enable effective decision-making and execution., • Establish and monitor key inventory strategies and policies, balancing service level targets with working capital goals while minimizing obsolescence and waste across finished goods, WIP, and raw materials., • Coordinate planning readiness for commercialization and new product launches, ensuring cross-functional inputs are aligned and that production and raw materials are positioned for successful execution., • Lead or participate in the S&OP execution process for planning, providing visibility into future demand and supply scenarios, identifying constraints, and recommending trade-offs and decisions to leadership., • Maintain proactive risk management and scenario planning, communicating constraints and recovery options to leadership with clarity and foresight., • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices, systems enhancements, and KPI-driven performance improvements across all planning activities., • Coach, develop, and mentor planning team members. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Food Science, Business, or a related field., • 5–8 years of supply chain or planning experience in the nutraceuticals, food, or CPG manufacturing industries; minimum 2 years in a managerial role., • Working knowledge of GMP, FDA, HACCP, or SQF regulations and how they impact planning and production., • Experience with ERP and MRP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Deacom); experience with demand planning tools is a plus., • Familiarity with shelf-life and expiry-based planning, lot traceability, and allergen control is preferred., • Demonstrated success in leading S&OP and cross-functional planning processes., • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on, proactive approach., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across departments and levels. Salary: $130,000-$145,000 Annually
