This TIG Welder role offers the chance to work on one‑of‑a‑kind projects in a state‑of‑the‑art weld shop, supporting highly regulated industries where quality and precision truly matter. ✅ Competitive pay ($25–$30/hr based on experience) 📈 Upcoming facility expansion with long‑term career stability 🧩 Custom, non‑repetitive projects—no assembly‑line welding 🧪 State‑of‑the‑art weld shop with advanced equipment 🎓 Ongoing technical training and cross‑training opportunities 🏥 Comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision) 💼 401(k), tuition assistance, and annual bonus program 🌱 Strong internal growth opportunities within a specialized operation What You’ll Do As a TIG Welder, you’ll handle precision fabrication work in a job‑shop environment, including: • Perform high‑quality TIG welding with purge techniques, • Weld stainless steel, carbon steel, hydraulic lines, and refrigeration components, • Weld Schedule 40 pipe and complete precise fit‑ups, • Produce full‑penetration, sanitary‑grade welds for regulated environments, • Read and interpret P&IDs, blueprints, and general arrangement drawings, • Layout, fit, and assemble piping and mechanical components, • Operate—or train on—computer‑controlled orbital welding equipment, • Use machine‑shop tools and fabrication equipment safely, • Work in physically active environments, including heights and confined spaces, • Lift, move, and position materials up to 50 lbs as requiredWhat You Bring, • TIG welding experience on stainless steel and carbon steel, • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, • Ability to work independently in a job‑shop setting, • Comfort with physically demanding tasks such as climbing, bending, and lifting, • Commitment to safety, quality, and precision in regulated environmentsNice‑to‑Have Skills (Not Required), • Consistent experience producing sanitary‑grade welds, • Knowledge of welding symbols, tolerances, and material properties, • Experience with hydraulic or pneumatic piping systems, • Strong problem‑solving skills during complex fit‑ups, • Willingness to support light assembly work outside welding when needed, • Interest in learning automated and orbital welding technologiesWork Environment, • Modern, high‑tech industrial manufacturing facility, • Climate‑controlled weld bays designed for precision work, • Focus on aseptic pharmaceutical and freeze‑drying systems, • Cleanroom and regulated manufacturing exposure, • Access to development labs for system testing and evaluation, • 60,000 sq. ft. facility with an additional 80,000 sq. ft. expansion underway This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tonawanda, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
