GTI Values: Safey I Quality I Customer Obsession I Speed I Agility Overview: GTI is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, transaction integrity, and material traceability across manufacturing operations. This role ensures that raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods are accurately tracked within the ERP system and physically aligned with system records. The Inventory Control Specialist partners closely with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Finance teams to support disciplined material management and production continuity. Responsibilities • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and ERP records, • Conduct root cause analysis on inventory variances and implement corrective actions, • Support annual physical inventory audits, • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain high inventory accuracy, • Ensure accurate and timely execution of inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, issues, adjustments, and returns, • Validate material movements in the ERP system to maintain real-time accuracy, • Audit transaction history to identify inconsistencies or improper material handling, • Maintain structured documentation of inventory adjustments and corrections, • Maintain lot and serial number traceability where required, • Ensure materials are properly labeled, staged, and stored in accordance with internal standards, • Monitor WIP inventory to ensure accurate job allocation and work order tracking, • Support production teams in resolving material allocation or location discrepancies, • Partner with warehouse personnel to ensure proper receiving, stocking, and issuing of materials, • Support Production Control and Purchasing with material availability reporting, • Monitor inventory levels to identify shortages, excess stock, or obsolete materials, • Assist with materials reconciliation for completed jobs, • Identify opportunities to improve inventory control processes and transaction discipline, • Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and financial reporting requirements, • Generate inventory reports including cycle count accuracy, variance trends, aging inventory, and material usage, • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred, • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or materials management in a manufacturing environment, • Experience working within ERP/MRP systems, • Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and basic data analysis, • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, • Experience in fabrication, modular manufacturing, or industrial production environments, • Familiarity with cycle counting methodologies and inventory audit procedures, • Understanding of BOM structures and work order transactions, • Exposure to Lean or continuous improvement principles GTI Energy offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support employees and their families while providing long-term career growth opportunities within a fast-growing manufacturing organization.
