If you are selected to move forward, you will also be asked to submit the following: • Cover Letter, • Teaching philosophy, • Three letters of recommendation or contact information for three references, • Official transcripts will be required before the start of the position Responsibilities Chair Duties • Serve as the academic leader and primary representative of the Management & Marketing department, • Supervise, mentor, and support the professional development and well-being of full-time and adjunct faculty, • Oversee course scheduling and faculty teaching assignments to ensure effective program delivery, • Monitor student enrollment trends and support retention initiatives within the department, • Lead curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement efforts across majors and the business core, • Guide departmental strategic planning in alignment with School and University priorities, • Participate in faculty recruitment, evaluation, promotion, and tenure processes, • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing departmental culture, • Perform additional administrative and leadership responsibilities as outlined by faculty governance policies Professorial Duties • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management, marketing, or related disciplines, • Assess student learning outcomes and provide meaningful feedback to support student success, • Maintain an active and ongoing research agenda, producing original scholarship in peer-reviewed journals aligned with AACSB Scholarly Academic standards, • Advise and mentor students on academic, career, and professional development goals, • Utilize innovative and engaging teaching methodologies, including experiential and applied learning approaches, • Contribute to the development and enhancement of courses, academic programs, and School initiatives, • Collaborate with faculty, staff, alumni, and external business partners to strengthen program relevance and impact, • Provide service to the department, School of Business, University, profession, and broader community through committee work, outreach, and scholarly engagement Requirements • Terminal degree in management, marketing, or a closely related field from an accredited institution, • Current tenure status at another institution or minimum rank of Associate Professor, • Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement, including publications in peer-reviewed academic journals, • Evidence of excellence in teaching, including the use of innovative and effective instructional practices, • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills, • Ability to work effectively with diverse students, faculty, and stakeholders, • Eligibility to work in the United States at the time of employment Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience in academic leadership, including department chair or similar roles, • Experience with course scheduling, curriculum development, and program assessment, • Involvement in faculty hiring, mentoring, evaluation, and promotion processes, • Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and support faculty success in teaching and scholarship, • Demonstrated commitment to shared governance and collaborative decision-making, • Professional experience in business or industry relevant to management or marketing, • Active participation in academic or professional organizations, • Ongoing research activity consistent with AACSB Scholarly Academic classification Competencies and Skills • Ability to develop, assess, and continuously improve student learning outcomes, • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills, • Commitment to student engagement and success, • Demonstrated support for diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic settings, • Ability to conduct original research and mentor faculty in scholarly activities, • Adaptability in working with individuals with diverse learning and working styles, • Ability to build relationships with the business community to enhance program visibility and impact, • Proficiency with instructional technologies and emerging tools, including data analytics and AI applications Salary Range • Associate Professor: $110,000 – $129,000 annually, • Professor: $117,300 – $138,000 annually JK Executive Strategies is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
