Job DescriptionJob Title: LPN/LVN Location: Rome, NY Duration: 26–52 Weeks Schedule: Day Shift (3x12 Hours) Compensation • Traveler Pay: $46–$48/hr (based on experience), • Local Pay: $39–$40/hr (based on experience)Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide quality nursing care within a secure healthcare environment. The LPN will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care, administer medications, perform clinical assessments, and respond to healthcare needs while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities • Administer prescribed medications, including controlled substances, while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with established protocols., • Monitor patient health status and report significant changes to the healthcare team., • Obtain and record vital signs, conduct physical assessments, and perform routine nursing procedures., • Provide wound care, dressing changes, and other treatments as directed., • Conduct health screenings and assist with preventive healthcare initiatives., • Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies and urgent patient needs., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes., • Collaborate with physicians, Registered Nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support individualized care plans., • Adhere to safety, security, infection control, and regulatory compliance requirements., • Educate patients on health maintenance, medications, and treatment plans as appropriate., • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing standards at all times.Required QualificationsEducation, • Associate Degree in Health Science or related field preferred.Licensure & Certifications, • Active New York State LPN License required., • Current BLS Certification required.Experience, • Previous nursing experience in long-term care, correctional healthcare, medical-surgical, behavioral health, or a related clinical setting preferred., • Experience with medication administration, patient assessments, and clinical documentation.Skills & Competencies, • Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills., • Knowledge of medication administration and documentation practices., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to remain calm and professional in emergency situations., • Strong organizational and time-management abilities., • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team., • Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance.
