Job Description Kramer Trial Lawyers, a top plaintiff-side trial firm in Los Angeles, is seeking a litigation-heavy Paralegal with 5+ years of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience supporting cases through all phases of litigation and is eager to work on serious plaintiff-side cases that are prepared with trial in mind from day one. This is not a passive case-management role. The firm is looking for someone who can take ownership of substantive litigation tasks, including drafting complaints, drafting and responding to discovery, preparing discovery motions, assisting with expert discovery and expert materials, preparing trial documents, and supporting intensive trial preparation and trial work. The firm is especially interested in candidates with plaintiff-side experience, particularly in personal injury, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, employment, civil rights, or other high-stakes civil litigation practices. Because Kramer Trial Lawyers is selective about the cases it takes, the team is able to devote significant time, strategy, and attention to each matter. Key responsibilities may include: • Drafting complaints and other pleadings, • Drafting and responding to written discovery, • Preparing discovery motions, meet-and-confer letters, and supporting exhibits, • Preparing subpoenas, deposition notices, document demands, and deposition materials, • Managing document production and case files, • Summarizing medical records, deposition transcripts, and key case materials, • Assisting with expert discovery, expert files, expert materials, and related deadlines, • Supporting law and motion, including cite-checking, exhibit preparation, and filings, • Preparing trial documents, including exhibit lists, witness lists, motions in limine, trial binders, subpoenas, deposition designations, and pretrial filings, • Coordinating with clients, experts, witnesses, vendors, court staff, and opposing counsel, • Maintaining litigation deadlines, discovery deadlines, expert deadlines, and trial calendars, • Supporting attorneys during trial preparation and trial The right candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong research and writing ability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing deadlines. Compensation and benefits: Salary is competitive and expected to range from $90,000 to $130,000, depending on experience. Benefits include 70% coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance, 10 days of accrued paid time off, 8 federal holidays, an origination bonus for cases brought into the firm, and a discretionary year-end bonus based on contributions throughout the year.
