• Department: Echocardiology, • Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, flexible schedule between 8:30 AM and 7:00 PM, Option to work 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts. Includes rotating weekend and call coverage, and occasional holidays as needed for department coverage. Occasional adjustments may be required to support patient volumes and department needs, • Hospital: Ascension Via Christi, St. Francis, • Comprehensive health coverage: medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage and HSA/FSA options, • Financial security & retirement: employer-matched 403(b), planning and hardship resources, disability and life insurance, • Time to recharge: pro-rated paid time off (PTO) and holidays, • Career growth: Ascension-paid tuition (Vocare), reimbursement, ongoing professional development and online learning, • Emotional well-being: Employee Assistance Program, counseling and peer support, spiritual care and stress management resources, • Family support: parental leave, adoption assistance and family benefits Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols. • Set up and adjust all imaging equipment and manually maneuver transducers to perform exams., • Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures., • Perform routine and complex studies and assist in a variety of imaging procedures., • Recognize significant structures, artifacts, pathology and equipment limitations., • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately., • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards., • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history)., • Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department. Licensure/Certification/Registration: • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted., • One or more of the following required:, • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date., • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Vascular Interpretation credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date., • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date., • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date., • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date., • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date., • Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Education: • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required., • 1–2 years of clinical experience in performing adult transthoracic echocardiograms. Additional experience with stress echo, contrast studies, and TEE is highly desirable., • Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography or diagnostic medical sonography program., • Current RDCS or RCS credential (or obtained within 12 months of hire)., • Proficient in the operation of ultrasound equipment, digital image acquisition, and structured reporting systems (Merge/Cardiovascular PACS preferred)., • Strong patient care and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment., • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and adherence to departmental protocols and accreditation standards.
