Job Description Job Title: Production Worker – Food Manufacturing (Almond-Based Products) Job Description This role focuses on supporting the production and processing of almond-based food products in a clean, highly regulated manufacturing environment. You will perform a variety of production, material handling, and equipment-related tasks while following strict Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality and safety. f1st. shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays Responsibilities • Operate production and processing equipment used to manufacture almond-based food products in accordance with GMPs and SOPs., • Handle raw materials and finished products, including loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the production area., • Clean and sanitize machinery and work areas regularly to maintain a sterile and compliant production environment., • Pick and stage products accurately to support continuous production flow and on-time order fulfillment., • Monitor production processes, identify potential issues, and promptly report or correct problems to maintain product quality., • Follow all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including FDA-related guidelines and internal policies., • Inspect products and materials for defects or irregularities and take appropriate action to correct or escalate issues., • Use basic computer systems to enter data, track production information, and complete required documentation., • Lift, move, and position materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs unassisted as part of daily tasks., • Collaborate with team members to support various production areas, stepping into different tasks as needed., • Assist with general warehouse and material handling activities, including using pallet jacks and, if trained, forklifts., • Work additional hours or overtime when needed to meet production demands and support team goals. Essential Skills • At least 2 years of production or material handling experience in a manufacturing environment., • Previous experience in food manufacturing or a food-related production setting., • Demonstrated experience working with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)., • Experience cleaning production machinery and maintaining sanitary conditions., • Experience with production operations such as product picking, material handling, or machine operation., • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted on a regular basis., • High school diploma or equivalent., • Basic computer skills and the ability to use simple computer systems for data entry and documentation., • Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with FDA-regulated products and following GMPs/SOPs., • Ability to multitask and work independently while meeting production standards., • Proven ability to work as a team player, support coworkers, and assist where needed., • Willingness to put in extra hours when required to meet production needs., • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual tasks in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Manufacturing experience with experience in production, warehouse, or material handling roles., • Experience operating production machinery and equipment in a manufacturing setting., • Experience with warehouse activities, including product picking and staging., • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a regulated environment., • Forklift and pallet jack experience (strong plus)., • Computer experience beyond basic skills is a plus., • Motivated attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn., • Comfort working in a food production environment with strict cleanliness and safety standards. Work Environment The role is based in a modern almond processing factory that operates as a very clean, sterile production environment. The facility follows strict food safety and GMP standards, and employees work around ovens and other production equipment. The plant can become hot during the summer months, and there is no air conditioning in the production area. The standard schedule is a first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on Fridays depending on production needs. The work involves standing for extended periods, performing manual tasks, and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. Individuals must be able to work safely around almond and tree nut products and follow all site-specific safety and cleanliness requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennsauken, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
