A Smile 4U is a privately owned dental practice with locations in Cartersville, Dalton, Decatur, East Point, and Hiram. We offer a wide range of specialties under one roof including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery using advanced, state-of-the-art equipment and scheduling technology. The Ideal Candidate • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and adaptable, • Comfortable in a fast-pace, team-driven office, • Can-do attitude, • Dental certification is preferredKey Responsibilities, • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, • Explain office procedures to patients before treatment, • Provide quality, compassionate care to patients before, during, and after dental treatment, • Manage patients during dental procedures and ensure their comfort, • Accurately chart existing dental conditions and record progress notes, • Provide patients with post-operative instructions following treatment or surgery, • Take dental impressions for study models, • Prepare, maintain, and sterilize dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, • Take and develop dental x-rays; collect and record patient health histories, • Serve as infection control officer: maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance with infection control protocols, • Monitor and document repairs for operatory and handpiece equipment, • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks (e.g., autoclave testing, trap cleaning), • Assist with ordering and inventory of dental supplies, • Support the clinic with recall and treatment plan reports as needed, • Adhere to all government, OSHA, and company regulations, • Provide direct patient care across multiple specialties including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry and oral surgeryQualifications, • Technical or college diploma, • Previous dental assisting experience required, • Excellent chairside manner and strong communication skills, • Ability to multitask and adapt to different procedures and techniques, • Professional, dependable, and eager to grow, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, • Customer service oriented with a professional demeanor, • Reliable and collaborative team player Saturday: Once a month Benefits • Full-time team members qualify for Medical, Dental, and Optical Insurance after 90 days, • Employee discount, • Unique opportunity to work in a multi-specialty practice, • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays Pay is based on experience
