Working within RUMC’s Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) and Mobile Crisis Program, the Senior Peer Specialist will use their lived experience with mental health recovery to engage individuals in crisis, foster hope, and connect them to community resources while providing oversight to the Team of BSWS Peer Specialists and ensuring the maintenance of standards as specified by the RUMC contract. This role requires strong team coordination and communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to build trust in high-intensity environments. The Senior Peer Specialist will work alongside the clinical team in the CPEP unit and oversee the collaboration with the RUMC management Team, collaborate with clinical teams, support self-advocacy, and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and person-centered care. The Lead Data Warehouse Engineer is a senior technical specialist responsible for leading development, maintenance, and operations of these research data warehouses. They then help young people connect to schools, programs, and opportunities that align with their goals/interests, encourage persistence in those settings, and plan/prepare for the next step on their journey. SafeCare Family Services (SFS): SafeCare Family Services (SFS) at Flagstone & Kensington Family Shelter offers an evidence-based, in-home parenting skills curriculum designed for Brooklyn-based parents at risk of or with a history of child maltreatment, particularly those living at the shelter. The program focuses on three modules: Parent-Child/Parent-Infant Interactions to address neglect and physical abuse, the Health Module for medical neglect risks, and the Home Safety Module to prevent environmental neglect and unintentional injury. SFS primarily conducts home visits, utilizing a structured problem-solving approach for clients with at least one child aged 0-5, who can benefit from enhanced parenting skills, have an open or historical neglect case, lack resources or social support, are in the Independent Living Program, are undergoing substance abuse treatment or mental health care, or have shown a lack of supervision and safety.. Job Summary: The Seamen’s Society Youth Services Program (YES) provides a holistic approach to working with middle school and high school students in Foster Care. Aligned with the 7 Core Principles of the Fair Futures Initiative our program seeks to surround our youth with individualized and catered attention and support. The department aims to put youth on stable path by focusing on their success in high school, college and career development. The program remains with a youth from 9th grade through age 26, or until they are on a living wage career path. Empowerment Coaches will work solely with youth from age 14 to 26 years old in our Foster Care program and youth that have been discharged from care. The Coaches will build trusting relationships and provide social and emotional support to the youth. The coach will be there for the youth, help them navigate any challenges, celebrate successes, and plan for the future. Duties and Responsibilities: • Work one-on-one with each young person on their coach load to create individual goals.
