Who Weʼre Looking For Weʼre seeking an LCSW who is warm, grounded, and clinically thoughtful. You build rapport easily, listen carefully, and help patients feel safe enough to do meaningful work. Youʼre empathetic while maintaining appropriate boundaries, and you bring a calm, steady presence even in complex or emotionally charged situations. Clinically, youʼre comfortable providing outpatient psychotherapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, and substance use or co-occurring disorders (when applicable). You understand the limits of outpatient care and collaborate or refer when higher levels of care are required (e.g., detox, residential treatment, or acute psychiatric stabilization). This role is ideal for clinicians who: • Want flexible, supplemental clinical work, • Are comfortable with variable scheduling and gradual caseload growth, • Understand that insurance credentialing takes several months, • Are interested in long-term collaboration, even in a per-diem capacity Role & Responsibilities • Provide individual psychotherapy (typically 45-60 minute sessions), • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans, • Deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, DBT-informed, trauma-informed, SUD-focused care, etc., based on training), • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, • Perform risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis intervention as needed, • Collaborate with psychiatric providers regarding medication management when indicated, • Participate in occasional case consultations or team discussions, • Comply with all ethical, professional, and regulatory standards Schedule & Caseload • Flexible per-diem scheduling based on clinician availability, • Typical commitment: 10-20 clinical hours per week, depending on patient demand, • No minimum or guaranteed hours, • Evening or weekend availability welcomed but not required, • Caseload builds gradually, especially during credentialing, • Compensation, • $40-$45 per completed clinical session/billable hour, based on experience and modality, • Independent contractor (1099) status, • Rates are net of administrative, scheduling, and billing support provided by the practice Qualifications Required • Active, unrestricted New Jersey LCSW license, • Minimum 2-3 years post-licensure clinical experience, • Eligible for insurance credentialing (no exclusions or sanctions), • Active NPI (Type 1), • Professional liability (malpractice) insurance, • Authorized to work in the United States, • Comfortable providing services via telehealth in compliance with NJ regulations and HIPAA Preferred • Experience treating substance use disorders and co-occurring conditions, • CASAC or NJ-recognized substance use counseling credential, • Group therapy, IOP, or addiction-focused program experience, • Bilingual English/Spanish (not required), • Credentialing & Onboarding, • Insurance credentialing typically takes 3-6 months, • Self-pay cases may be available once onboarding is complete, • Orientation, EHR training (IntakeQ), and clinical workflows provided prior to independent practice Application Process Interested candidates should submit: • Resume or CV, • Copy of active New Jersey LCSW license, • Brief summary of availability
