We are currently seeking a highly motivatedDesign Manager IIIlocated inLos Angeles, CA. Overview: The Design Manager enforces procedures for architectural and engineering review ac vi es to ensure they are done according to best practices and standards identified in the Contract. The Design Manager shall oversee design support management, scope of work management, design review and approval, permitting, agency coordination support, and building information modelling (BIM) coordination. The Design Manager supports the Project Manager in providing oversight of the architectural, structural, mechanical electrical plumbing (MEP), civil, u li es, and IT disciplines per LAWA standards. Required Education: • Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture, Engineering, and/or related field Preferred Certifications/Licenses: • Licensed Engineer (preferably by CA Board of Engineers) is required. For structural engineers, SE is preferred. For geotechnical engineers GE is preferred. Optional Certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, etc., and/or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certification Required Qualifications: In order to become a candidate, you must possess the following skills and abilities: Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering o Professional Licenses & Certifications: "Licensed Engineer (preferably by CA Board of Engineers) is required. For structural engineers, SE is preferred. For geotechnical engineers GE is preferred. Optional Certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PMP, etc., and/or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certification" o Minimum Years and Experience: 10 years or more experience, preferably on airport projects • 5-12 years of experience in planning, operations, simulation, and data analysis, • Experience in Synchro, PTV VISSIM, Simio, or trac modeling and processing/simulation software, • Procient with MS Oce and MS 365 products, • Preferred experience with data and statistical software such as Python, R, SAS, etc., • Preferred experience with analytical software such as Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, GIS, • Preferred experience with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, GIS, etc., • Preferred experience with Visio or other process visualization software, • Degree in industrial engineering, civil engineering, transportation planning, city/urban planning, architecture, aviation, business, operations research, or related technical eld Responsibilities: • Supports process improvement by coordinating with operational business units, identifying and documenting ineciencies around LAWAs landside components, and providing improvement opportunities, • .Historic and upcoming ight schedules, • Trac signal and trac timing data, • Parking access and revenue data, • Curb, parking, and roadway occupancy, • Develop curbside and parking allocation and utilization reports based on passenger demand, • Prepare/Review/Lead studies and analysis on:, • Increasing operational capacity for the airport, • Operational changes due to construction, policy, safety, or other technical requirements that aect airport operations and business., • Working knowledge of Cubic Synchro Studio and/or PTV Group, • VISSIM, • Review other modeling/simulation work done by other entities or projects., • Field observations for data collection and information gathering on airport operations, • Reviews various studies modeling methodology, assumptions, parameters, and sources, • Review and preliminary concept drawings from an operational and functional perspective., • Provide sketches on layout or space allocation improvements for further analysis., • Coordinates with commercial, operations, maintenance, and other stakeholders as needed to provide input, review results, or modify assumptions., • Develops reports and presentations to stakeholders and airport management, as needed, • Develop business process owcharts such as swim lane diagrams, Visio charts, RACI matrixes, etc., • Provide recommendations on improvements and layouts on use of space on landside and other LAX ancillary space, • Review functionality and operations of massing, stacking, conceptual layout plans., • Analyze workows, processes, and allocations such as operational stang, curb allocation, waynding, etc., • Have Simio or other processing simulation type modeling experience, • Run curbside microsimulation models and trac signal network synchro models, • Simulation and modeling., • Managing and reducing roadway trac, shuttle, APM delays, • Improving operational eciency and capability, • Develop reports on origin and destination trends, • Origin and Destination data of employees and passengers, • Curb and space allocation and utilization, • Transit, shuttle bussing, routing and schedules, • Reported transaction data from LAWAs ground transportation operators, • Data collection and analysis of various landside aviation operational data such as: Salary: • $214,00,000- 228,00 Bonus Pay: A bonus may be granted to employees depending on individual performance, employee utilization, attendance, tenure, and furtherance of other non-financial corporate goals; bonus opportunities are available at managements discretion.
