POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for an HVAC-certified Apartment Service Technician responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of one or more apartment buildings in Center City Philadelphia. In this role, you will need to be professional, and able to work independently and responsibly while observing all health and safety guidelines. Your responsibilities may include painting, cleaning, basic plumbing, and repairs. You should have experience utilizing a multitude of tools and an understanding of basic maintenance issues. Previous experience in apartment maintenance, carpentry, and/or knowledge of HVAC would be an advantage. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.), • Maintain colling, heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality, • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed, • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.), • Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide, • Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.), • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards, • Adherence to the company's mission and values in all aspects of the job., • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills, • HVAC Certification highly preferred, • Good physical condition and sufficient strength to perform required job duties, with a willingness to work overtime as needed, • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work., • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment., • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the highest level of integrity., • Highly motivated with a strong desire and ability to learn quickly., • Responsive and open to feedback and growth., • Effective communication with all stakeholders, including employees, management, and other departments., • High school diploma or equivalent, • Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance., • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed., • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces., • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The compensation for this position ranges from $22 to $25/hour commensurate with qualifications and experience. This full-time position is not exempt from overtime pay under federal and state wage and hour laws, which means that it is eligible for overtime time pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. Job Description Our Pest Control Technicians work closely with residents and supervisors at multi-family housing to tackle pest problems and put our customer's mind at ease. As a Pest Control Technician, you will identify pest problems and recommend pest control programs using your expertise and the latest in pest control technology. You will communicate procedures, sanitation and structural corrections with residents and management supervisors all while providing the highest-level quality of service.
