Title: IOP Trauma Therapist Reports to: Executive Director Department/Location: 100% Onsite FLSA Status: Exempt This is a full-time, on-site role (40 hours per week) based at the Sisters Grove, Colorado Springs location. The standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM MST. The position will work with the Adult IOP Trauma program, though will require some flexibility to cover for Adults and Adolescents General IOP/PHP program, depending on coverage needs and Trauma IOP census. *Must have experience providing clinical services to Veterans or active-duty military, or a strong understanding of military culture and service-related trauma. Candidates should have a background in treating complex trauma. Proof of training or certification in evidence-based trauma modalities may be requested. Role Summary: The Trauma Therapist will be responsible for providing high-quality, trauma-informed care within the IOP program to individuals experiencing the effects of acute and complex trauma. The therapist will conduct comprehensive trauma assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to deliver evidence-based interventions that promote safety, stabilization, and long-term healing. Role Responsibilities/Competencies: • Conduct psychological and biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations to determine clients' needs., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings., • Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy, utilizing modalities designed to address trauma-related symptoms, promote emotional regulation, and support long-term recovery., • Support general population IOP/PHP clients by facilitating individual and group therapy sessions as needed, based on census and clinical demands within the trauma track., • Monitor and document clients' progress and adjust treatment plans to create a cohesive case conceptualization., • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical doctors, to provide comprehensive and continuity of care., • Completes suicide risk assessment within identified time frames and with appropriate thoroughness and scoring while consulting with clinical leaders., • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case reviews determining length of stay and level of care., • Assess and identify community resources based on clients needs during treatment/ aftercare planning., • Adhere to all standardized Group Curriculum and Treatment Planning., • Educate clients and their families about mental health and behavioral issues while building supportive and trusting relationships, • Comes prepared to weekly clinical supervision with relevant client updates, case formulations, and questions to support high-quality care., • Adhere to all confidentiality and ethical guidelines as outlined by professional standards and laws., • Stay updated on the latest research and developments in behavioral therapy and mental health., • Identify with Guidelight Health's Mission, Vision and Values Required Qualifications • A master's degree in psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field., • Valid Colorado state license (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, AMFT). Independent licensure highly preferred., • Demonstrated experience providing clinical services to Veterans and active-duty military populations, and/or an in depth understanding of military culture and service-related trauma., • Strong clinical foundation and supervised experience in trauma-specific assessment and treatment, including work with acute, chronic, complex, and/or co-occurring presentations., • Formal training, coursework, or certification in evidence-based trauma modalities: PE, CPT, TF-CBT, WET preferred, EMDR, somatic, attachment-based approaches considered., • Experience facilitating group therapy, following a structured or standardized trauma curriculum.
