Job Description Job Summary The Maintenance Electrician/Automation is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. This role supports production by diagnosing equipment failures, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and maintaining automated systems, while adhering to safety, food quality, and GMP standards. Major Responsibilities • Diagnoses, troubleshooting, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing equipment to restore safe and efficient operation, • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability, • Maintain, monitor, and repair automated and computerized systems, • Install, modify, and upgrade machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure as required, • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams, • Identify and resolve motor, control, and power distribution issues using appropriate diagnostic tools, • Support manufacturing startups, equipment commissioning, and system checks, • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, PM documentation, and breakdown reports accurately and timely, • Research, specify, and coordinate procurement of replacement parts and materials, • Collaborate with Operations, and external vendors to improve efficiency and eliminate recurring issues, • Perform mechanical tasks including rebuilding gearboxes, pumps, valves, conveyors, and related equipment, • Follow all company policies, employee safety, food safety, quality, GMP requirements and Glass programs; report hazards, incidents, or nonconformances immediately, • Maintain reliable attendance and respond to maintenance needs during extended or off-shift hours when required, • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an industrial maintenance electrician in a manufacturing or production environment, • Demonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical manufacturing equipment, • Ability to diagnose equipment failures and restore systems to safe operating conditions, • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and maintenance documentation (work orders, PMs, logs), • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams, • Proficiency using electrical diagnostic tools, including volt meters, amp probes, and ohmmeters, • Basic experience with motor controls, starters, overloads, and electrical panel., • Strong math, computer, and technical problem-solving skill., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross-functional team, • Ability to work extended hours and maintain reliable attendance, • Associate degree in Automation Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field, • Technical coursework or formal training in:, • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), • Hydraulics and pneumatics, • Electrical circuits and electrical machinery, • Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated or robotic manufacturing systems, • Experience with inverters, sensors, and basic automation controls
