Job DescriptionDescription: St Elizabeth of Hungary, a mission parish of the Cathedral Basilica, is seeking a Safety Associate for our daily sandwich line to provide a peaceful presence that ensures a safe and sanitary environment of our church and rectory grounds for our residents, parishioners, staff, visitors, volunteers, and Sandwich Line guests. We are seeking a dedicated employee to work every Saturday and Sunday 9am-12pm. For more information on the history of the St Elizabeth Sandwich Line, please visit this link- Outreach Job Duties • Conduct internal and external rounds throughout the facility to monitor and ensure safety, • Maintain a friendly secure presence in the alley for the duration of Sandwich Line activities, • Diffuse conflicts when appropriate, • Respond and assist as appropriate to any emergency situations in the building or on the grounds, • Report escalating conflicts to Senior Staff on site, DSLO, and Campus Police when appropriate, • Take Inventory of Sandwich Line sanitizing and disinfecting products, • Know and enforce health and safety guidelines issued and required by Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and the Center for Disease Control., • Train and support Sandwich Line Volunteers on proper procedures around food safety, sanitizing and disinfecting surfaces and equipment and procedures around health safety regarding communicable diseases, especially among homeless population, • Keep required sanitation logs, • Disposal of trash, • Security or safety-related experience (especially in community settings or outreach) preferred, • Strong communication and interpersonal skill, • Ability to enforce guidelines while maintaining a respectful tone, • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices, • Calm, respectful, and assertive presence, • Compassionate, non-judgmental attitude, • Dependable and organized Physical Requirements: • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, • Must wear masks and gloves while working, • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
