Job DescriptionWe are looking for ARMED SECURITY OFFICERS in the DENVER/DENVER METRO areas who are looking for a FULL-TIME position MONDAY through FRIDAY with shift times of 8 to 10 HOURS per day. Location: Denver/Denver Metro AreaCompensation: $24.50 per hour + BenefitsSchedule: Monday through Friday; Day ShiftStatus: Full-Time Position Overview:Citadel Security is hiring Armed School Security Officers who will play a critical role in safeguarding the school community by providing armed protection, proactive patrols, and rapid response to threats or safety concerns. This position requires exceptional vigilance, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Officers in this role are trusted to uphold the highest standards of safety, readiness, and conduct while supporting a secure learning environment. Open & Closing Dates: 11/18/2025 to 01/18/2026 Essential Job Functions • Maintain a visible, armed security presence on school grounds to deter threats and ensure a safe learning environment., • Conduct routine campus patrols—interior and exterior—to identify safety hazards, suspicious activity, or policy violations., • Respond immediately to emergencies, threats, disturbances, or critical incidents, following established safety protocols., • Monitor access points, verify identification, and ensure only authorized individuals enter school facilities., • Build professional rapport with students, staff, and visitors while maintaining appropriate boundaries and authority., • Enforce school, district, and company policies consistently and respectfully., • Observe, assess, and report concerning behavior, potential risks, or violations to school administration and Citadel leadership., • Document all incidents, interventions, and safety concerns accurately and promptly., • Coordinate and communicate with school officials, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed., • Support drills, safety trainings, and emergency preparedness planning., • Maintain readiness of duty equipment, including firearm, communication devices, and safety gear., • De-escalate conflicts when possible using verbal communication and established techniques., • Provide escort duties for students, staff, or visitors when safety concerns arise., • Remain aware of surroundings at all times and exercise sound judgment in dynamic environments.Qualification Requirements, • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and able to provide credible references and all required I-9 employment documentation., • Previous armed security, military, or law enforcement experience is required; experience in a school or youth-centered environment is preferred., • Must have a high school diploma or GED; additional training or coursework in criminal justice, security operations, or emergency management is a plus., • Must possess a valid Denver Merchant Guard Card license and meet all ongoing licensing and training requirements., • Must be able to safely handle, carry, and operate a firearm in accordance with state laws, company policy, and school district protocols., • Strong situational awareness with the ability to assess and respond to threats quickly and effectively., • Demonstrated ability to perform all duties with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment., • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact respectfully with students, parents, staff, and visitors., • Reading, writing, and verbal proficiency in the English language., • Must pass a criminal background check, drug test, and any required fingerprinting, school district screening, or additional site-specific clearances., • Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for several hours per shift in varying weather conditions., • Must have reliable transportation and maintain consistent punctuality for assigned shifts; tardiness is not permitted., • Basic computer and technology skills, including the ability to use mobile apps for scheduling, clocking in/out, incident reporting, and communication.., • Must own a smartphone to access schedules, updates, and required communication tools., • CPR, First Aid, Stop-the-Bleed, and basic emergency response training are preferred, with willingness to complete additional training if required.
