Job DescriptionJob Title: Carpenter Lead Job Description The Carpenter Lead oversees commercial construction tasks such as backing, blocking, doors, hardware installation, touch-up painting, drywall patching, safety railings, temporary walls, and occasional concrete work while providing on-site leadership to laborers and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure high-quality, timely project completion. Responsibilities • Perform carpentry work on commercial projects, including backing, blocking, and installation of doors and hardware., • Complete finish carpentry tasks with a high level of accuracy and craftsmanship., • Carry out touch-up painting and drywall patching to maintain a clean, finished appearance on all projects., • Install and maintain safety railings and temporary walls to support safe and efficient job sites., • Execute occasional concrete work as needed to support overall project requirements., • Lead and manage laborers on-site, providing clear direction, guidance, and support throughout each project., • Coordinate and interface with subcontractors on-site to align schedules, resolve issues, and maintain project timelines., • Monitor work quality and ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and construction best practices., • Assist with problem-solving and on-the-spot adjustments to meet field conditions and client expectations., • Support a culture of safety by following and reinforcing all site safety policies and procedures. Essential Skills • 4+ years of experience as a carpenter on commercial construction projects., • Strong construction and carpentry skills, including finish carpentry., • Hands-on experience with backing and blocking in commercial environments., • Proficiency in installing doors and hardware to commercial standards., • Experience with touch-up painting and drywall patching., • Ability to install and maintain safety railings and temporary walls., • Experience performing concrete work on commercial projects., • Ability to lead and manage laborers on job sites., • Experience interfacing and coordinating with subcontractors on active projects., • Strong attention to detail, quality, and safety on all tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Lead and management experience is preferred but not required., • Experience working on a variety of commercial project types such as office space, aerospace, K–12, and multifamily construction., • Ability to adapt to different project scopes, from small tenant improvement projects to multimillion-dollar ground-up builds., • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with field teams and subcontractors., • Capability to work across multiple locations within the region, including areas from Castle Rock to Boulder. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
