Job Description Now Hiring: Healthcare Administrative Assistant — Facility Support Homedica is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Healthcare Administrative Assistant to support our Nurse Practitioners providing medical services to patients in post-acute care and long-term care settings throughout the Baton Rouge area. As part of our team, you’ll receive company stock at no cost to you, with benefits that include: • Building long-term wealth for your future, • Enjoying a retirement benefit you don’t pay for, • Full-time, facility-based healthcare administrative support role, • Directly supports Homedica Nurse Practitioners (Internal Medicine and Psychiatry), • No nights, weekends, or major holidays, • Worksite located within one or more Baton Rouge–area facilities Clinical & Administrative Support • Support Nurse Practitioners during on-site patient visits, • Assist with vital signs and medication reconciliation as needed (Medical Assistant, EMT license HUGE PLUS), • Coordinate and schedule patient visits across multiple facilities, • Manage calendars and daily visit schedules efficiently, • Perform accurate documentation support within the electronic health record (EHR), • Track patient data, visit activity, and follow-up needs, • Generate, maintain, and update reports using Microsoft Excel, • Act as a liaison between Nurse Practitioners and facility staff, • Ensure timely follow-ups, lab coordination, and care continuity, • Strong computer proficiency in a healthcare or professional office setting, • Microsoft Excel skills (required) — including data entry, tracking, and reporting, • Proven time-management and organizational skills, • Experience with scheduling, calendar management, and coordination across teams, • Healthcare administrative experience strongly preferred, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment, • Medical Assistant certification or clinical background, • Experience in long-term care, post-acute care, home health, hospice, geriatrics, or primary care
