Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) will be responsible for the following: • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (Ex: conveyors), • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures, • Perform battery changes, and preventive maintenance on batteries, • Enter downtime data in daily log, complete PM sheets, • Managing work orders within a CMMS, • Electrical, knowledge of basics components, • Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment, • Track and store the departments inventory, including spare parts Show Less Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic Qualifications MRTs MUST HAVE at least 2+ years of experience conducting quality predictive & preventative maintenance procedures. • 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls, • 2+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading, • 2+ year knowledge with electrical and electronic principles, • 2+ year experience of following and demonstrating safety standards, • 1+ year experience in troubleshooting and diagnosti... Responsibilities • Ensure production and support equipment are functioning properly., • Perform preventative maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, filling equipment, and other machinery., • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment, making necessary repairs or adjustments., • Conduct basic electrical duties, such as replacing motors and switches, with support from an industrial electrician or PLC programmer for complex situations., • Perform package changeovers on lines as required., • Support the team in all aspects of operation., • Train team members on mechanical processes., • Mechanically inclined with experience in maintenance technician roles., • Proficient in electrical troubleshooting., • Ability to read schematics and diagrams., • Experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance, including conveyor and assembly line maintenance., • Minimum age requirement of 18 years., • Ability to read, write, and speak English., • High school diploma or GED, or 2-4 years of related experience and/or training., • Proficient knowledge in operating continuous motion packaging, filling, and palletizing equipment., • Effective problem-solving skills and ability to interpret instructions in various forms., • Knowledge of mechanical processes such as hydraulics and pneumatics. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baton Rouge, LA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $27.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
