Job Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks that are essential for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting departmental operations. Responsibilities: • Process daily accounts receivable transactions, including payments made via bank transfer, check, and credit card., • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures when managing incoming payments and accounts., • Conduct daily financial activities such as verifying, categorizing, posting, and recording receivables data., • Prepare and organize bank deposits in a timely manner., • Maintain accurate and accessible backup documentation for research and reference purposes., • Review figures, postings, and documents to ensure accuracy and proper coding., • Handle daily invoices and assist with reconciling general ledger accounts., • Manage departmental mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it each day., • Provide support with accounts payable tasks and other general accounting functions., • Perform additional administrative responsibilities within the accounting department as needed.
