Location: Can be located at any of our following nation-wide offices: Monterey Park, CA; Fullerton, CA; Forest Park, GA; Elk Grove Village, IL; Mineola, NY; Seattle, WA Summary The Director of CHB Compliance reports to the LOGISTEED-America, Inc. VP of Corporate Administration. LOGISTEED‑America is seeking a seasoned Director of Customs House Brokerage & Compliance to lead and strengthen our U.S. import brokerage compliance program. This senior leadership role is ideal for a strategic compliance professional with deep regulatory expertise and a passion for building high-performing, accountable teams. What You’ll Do • Lead all U.S. Customs Brokerage compliance activities across branches, ensuring full compliance with CBP and all Participating Government Agencies (FDA, PGA, etc.), • Set and enforce national CHB compliance policies, procedures, and reasonable care standards, • Serve as the company’s brokerage compliance subject matter expert for clients, sales teams, and operations, • Provide regulatory guidance, training, audits, and compliance presentations internally and externally, • Oversee post-entry activity including PSCs, protests, prior disclosures, penalties, and mitigations, • Manage ACE portal activity, POAs, employee reporting, audits, and recordkeeping, • Conduct branch compliance audits, issue corrective action plans, and publish scorecards, • Support client classification projects, FDA compliance, rulings, and reconciliation programs, • Build strong working relationships with CBP and other government agencies, • Extensive experience in U.S. Customs brokerage compliance and import regulations, • Proven leadership experience managing compliance teams and multi-branch operations, • Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, FDA/PGA requirements, audits, and post-entry processes, • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills Preferred Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions Previous Work Experience • Minimum of 15 years brokerage experience, • Strong classification and regulatory knowledge, • Compliance policy development and auditing experience, • Bachelor’s degree, • Equivalent work experience will be considered in-lieu of education, • Work well with individuals of different languages and cultures, • Effective decision making, sound judgment, and initiative, • Excellent organization skills, • Excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills, • Understanding of brokerage CTPAT minimum security criteria (MSC), • Strong attention to detail, • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and regulations (OSHA), • Ability to make decisions in an objective manner, • Strong written and verbal communication skills, • Organizational, people, and interviewing skills, • Conflict resolution skills, • Staff management; requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goal, • Ability to respond to situations in a prompt and professional manner, • Proven professional and sound judgment in the management of difficult and / or sensitive matters, • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, • Ability to work in multiple systems and ability to input and retrieve data are a must, • Must be able to read, write and count, • Intermediate/Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word & Excel, • Energetic and highly motivated to succeed, • Proven strong business acumen, • Fluency in English, • Ability to read, analyze and interpret compliance regulations and requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
