Your Role As an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, you’ll provide individualized instruction and support to preschool-age children, fostering growth across cognitive, motor, and social-emotional skills. You will: · Develop and implement age-appropriate IEPs and deliver engaging, play-based instruction. · Assist with personal care and hygiene tasks while supporting children’s daily routines. · Support children through varied behaviors, using patience, guidance, and professional strategies. · Foster a warm, nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning, independence, and skill-building. · Collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress and adapt teaching methods. What You’ll Bring · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education or related field. · NYS Certification in Early Childhood Special Education Students with Disabilities, Birth–Grade 2. · Experience working with young children with developmental disabilities (preferred). · Strong communication and relationship-building skills with children and families. · Creativity, patience, and flexibility in designing learning activities. · Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
