Depending on your experience and shift, you’ll rotate through different stations including: • Grill, • Prep, • Line, • Cashier, • FOH, • Closing & Opening Operations Whether you’re opening the restaurant in the morning or closing late at night, you’ll help deliver great food and outstanding service while maintaining Taco Tek’s standards for quality, cleanliness, speed, and hospitality. WHAT YOU’LL DO Every shift starts with one goal: Deliver an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities may include: Guest Experience • Welcome every guest with a positive attitude., • Prepare customized orders accurately and efficiently., • Deliver friendly, fast, and genuine customer service., • Resolve guest concerns professionally., • Maintain a clean and inviting dining room. Food Preparation • Prepare fresh ingredients daily., • Grill meats and vegetables., • Fry chips, fries, quesadillas, and other menu items., • Assemble burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos, salads, and other made-to-order meals., • Follow recipes and portion standards., • Ensure food quality and presentation meet Taco Tek standards. Restaurant Operations • Stock and replenish ingredients throughout the shift., • Rotate inventory using FIFO procedures., • Monitor food quality and freshness., • Complete prep work throughout the day., • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards., • Complete temperature logs and required checklists. Teamwork • Support teammates during busy periods., • Communicate clearly between front and back of house., • Help train new Crew Members., • Maintain a positive, respectful work environment. MORNING SHIFT RESPONSIBILITIES Morning Crew Members help prepare the restaurant for a successful day by: • Opening kitchen and dining areas, • Preparing fresh ingredients, • Cooking proteins and sides, • Stocking stations, • Receiving deliveries, • Organizing inventory, • Preparing online order stations, • Ensuring the restaurant is ready before opening NIGHT & CLOSING SHIFT RESPONSIBILITIES Closing Crew Members help finish the day strong by: • Serving late-night guests with the same quality and hospitality, • Keeping stations stocked until closing, • Breaking down kitchen equipment, • Cleaning grills, fryers, prep stations, and dining areas, • Properly storing food, • Completing nightly prep, • Washing dishes and utensils, • Completing closing checklists, • Leaving the restaurant clean, organized, and ready for the next day’s team WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE We’re looking for people who are: • Reliable and punctual, • Positive and hardworking, • Team-oriented, • Friendly and guest-focused, • Willing to learn, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, • Passionate about fresh food and hospitality Qualifications: • Restaurant or customer service experience preferred, but not required., • Strong communication skills., • Ability to stand for long periods., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds., • Comfortable working around hot equipment., • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays., • Must meet minimum hiring age requirements., • 21+ preferred for certain positions. The ideal candidate will inspire students through hands-on learning in robotics, engineering, coding, automation, and real-world problem-solving while preparing them for high school STEM pathways, robotics competitions, and future careers in technology. In alignment with Portrait of a Graduate, the Robotics Teacher will develop students who are critical thinkers, creative innovators, effective communicators, collaborative leaders, adaptable problem-solvers, and responsible digital citizens. Through authentic, project-based learning, students will build the technical knowledge and durable skills needed to thrive in high school, college, careers, and an ever-evolving global workforce. The teacher will prepare students for SBCSICA's High School CTE Pathways by providing the foundational knowledge and technical skills needed for advanced coursework in Aviation, Robotics, Engineering, Coding, and other STEM-related fields, while fostering confidence, curiosity, and a passion for innovation. This is an opportunity to help build one of the Bronx's premier robotics programs while empowering historically underrepresented students to see themselves as future engineers, programmers, inventors, and technology leaders. Key Responsibilities Instruction & Curriculum • Design and deliver engaging, project-based robotics and STEM lessons aligned with New York State Learning Standards., • Teach robotics, engineering design, coding, automation, and computational thinking through hands-on learning experiences., • Integrate the engineering design process, problem-solving, and teamwork into daily instruction., • Prepare students for robotics competitions, STEM showcases, and collaborative design challenges., • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs., • Use student data to drive instruction and improve academic outcomes. STEM & Career Readiness • Prepare students for success in SBCSICA's High School CTE Pathways, including Aviation, Robotics, and other STEM programs., • Connect classroom learning to real-world STEM careers through authentic projects, guest speakers, field experiences, and industry partnerships., • Foster innovation, creativity, and career exploration through hands-on engineering experiences.
