About You Your contribution: Wakefern Internal Audit is seeking a Senior Integrated Internal Auditor to join the team. The ideal candidate has experience in identifying and assessing risks, works collaboratively, promotes continuous improvement and is comfortable bringing new ideas. The candidate will report to the Manager, Internal Audit. The Senior Integrated Internal Auditor is responsible for reviewing Wakefern processes, operations, and strategic initiatives, including evaluating technologies and performing financial reviews in accordance with the risk-based audit plan. This role can perform end-to-end audits (planning to reporting) partner with management to recommend corrective actions that mitigate risks and improve business processes, and communicate timeline, project status and significant issues to internal audit management. The role requires strong analytical skills, professional judgment and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. This position is located in Edison, NJ. What you will do: • Assist in shaping the risk-based audit plan, including developing the audit scope through an understanding of business processes and risks., • Independently execute assigned integrated audits consisting of operational, IT and financial audits in collaboration with the audit team under the direction of the Manager, Internal Audit., • Participate in developing risk-based audit programs (including testing plans), process documentation and flowcharts, as applicable., • Conduct and/or lead walkthroughs and interviews with business stakeholders., • Perform audit testing, document audit findings and support discussions with auditees and management., • Assist with executing IT audits of critical systems and emerging technologies., • Participate in the development of Wakefern’s system of internal controls, including ITGCs, and ITACs., • Identify gaps, deficiencies, process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities in operational business and IT processes and internal controls., • Draft audit reports for review by internal audit management, including results of the review, clear articulation of issues, root cause and actionable recommendations., • Participate in opening, status and closing meetings with management., • Support remediation activities, including validating corrective actions., • Utilize business intelligence, data analytics and audit management software (e.g., Tableau, ACL, Microsoft Excel, Visio, Active Data, SQL, QMF for Windows, Optro) to support audit testing and analysis., • Support external audit activities to improve reliance and reduce redundancies, including year-end audit procedures and SOC-1 reviews., • Maintain professional proficiency through continuing education, training and participating in professional organizations., • Perform special projects and advisory activities as assigned by Internal Audit management. What we’re looking for: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field., • Three to five years of prior audit experience; IT audit experience preferred., • Professional certification (e.g., CIA, CISA, CFA, or related certification) preferred., • Knowledge of internal audit standards, COSO framework and risk assessment practices., • Experience within the Wholesale Trade and Food Manufacturing industries preferred., • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft) and data analytics tools (e.g., ACL)., • Strong analytical, organization and problem-solving skills., • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating effectively with team members., • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences., • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and produce quality results., • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams. How you will work: • Ability to work a hybrid schedule as established by the company to work four days onsite with the option to work a fifth day at home, • Travel to various Wakefern locations and distribution centers, as needed., • Periodic work in a refrigerated warehouse environment. Placement in the range depends on several factors, including experience, skills, education, geography, and budget considerations.
