Job Description The Vice President of Operations is responsible for overseeing and leading all construction operations to ensure projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across field operations, project management, scheduling, and resource planning. The VP of Operations collaborates closely with executive leadership, estimating, sales, project managers, superintendents, and clients to drive operational excellence, profitability, and continuous improvement across all projects. Duties/Responsibilities: • Able to perform and oversee all operational responsibilities related to Masonry, Stucco, EIFS, Stone, Waterproofing, and related construction scopes. Possesses deep understanding of systems, assemblies, sequencing, and field execution., • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple projects and operational teams simultaneously., • Direct and manage day-to-day construction operations, including project managers, superintendents, field crews, and subcontractors., • Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and quality., • Collaborate with Estimating, Preconstruction, and Sales teams during pursuit, precon, and turnover phases to ensure accurate scopes, budgets, and execution plans., • Lead Preconstruction Turnover meetings to operations and ensure smooth transition from awarded project to active construction., • Review project schedules, manpower plans, and equipment needs to align with company resources and forecasted workload., • Oversee project budgets, cost controls, and financial performance; identify risks and implement corrective actions as needed., • Communicate with Owners and General Contractors regarding schedules, logistics, sequencing, manpower, change orders, and overall project performance., • Manage and track financial costs, • Manage and track all of the internal and external contracts, • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, construction documents, safety regulations, and company standards., • Evaluate operational challenges not explicitly shown in construction documents and proactively address constructability, logistics, and risk issues., • Lead and support project teams in resolving field issues, conflicts, and claims efficiently and professionally., • Monitor quality control and safety programs to ensure consistent execution across all projects., • Mentor, train, and develop project managers, superintendents, and field leadership to build a strong operational team., • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders that reflect company core values and exceed customer expectations., • Provide executive-level reporting on operational performance, staffing, backlog, and project status to company leadership. Education and Experience: • A degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field is desired, but not required., • 15+ years of experience in commercial construction operations, preferably in masonry, stone, stucco, EIFS, and waterproofing systems., • 5+ years of senior leadership or operations management experience overseeing multiple projects and teams., • Strong experience with construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scheduling., • Proven experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and operational financial performance., • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills., • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, verbal and written., • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines., • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.)., • Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus Tools: • Procore / BIM 360 construction management software, • Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software, • Bluebeam, • Proposal Pricing Models (Excel), • Building Connected, • Digital takeoff and project management software Physical Requirements: • The Vice President of Operations role involves both office and field responsibilities. Physical demands may include:, • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or reviewing reports, • Walking, standing, or climbing during job site visits and inspections, • Occasional lifting of documents, plans, or equipment (up to 25 pounds), • Visual acuity to review drawings, schedules, and detailed project information, • Ability to travel to job sites, client meetings, and company locations as required
