This position plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our recycling facility. Laborers are responsible for general labor tasks such as cleaning, moving materials, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring the work environment remains safe and organized. The ideal candidate is hard-working, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an active industrial setting. Major Job Responsibilities/Duties • Inspects materials and sorts items or materials into piles or places in bins or barrels according to type, size, condition, coloring, marking, or other characteristics, • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits, • Operate machinery used in the production process or assist equipment operators, • Load and unload items from machines, conveyor and conveyances, • Moves reusable materials to production department or storage, • Separates metal particles from waste, • Cleaning which includes; sweeping and shoveling residual waste from process, • Removes waste materials from conveyor, • High School diploma or general education degree (GED), • One year minimum experience in a heavy industrial setting or equivalent combination of education and experience Working conditions/physical demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
