Job DescriptionShipping PlannerAbout the Role We are looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented Shipping Planner to join our fast‑paced logistics team. In this critical role, you’ll coordinate and optimize the shipment of goods to ensure on‑time delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. You’ll be at the heart of keeping our domestic and international supply chains running smoothly. Schedule & Pay • Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM (with overtime as needed), • Pay: Competitive weekly pay with opportunities for overtime earningsKey Responsibilities, • Develop shipping schedules: Plan daily, weekly, and monthly shipments based on customer orders, inventory, and carrier availability, • Coordinate logistics: Work with carriers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to arrange pickups, deliveries, and documentation, • Monitor shipments: Track progress and proactively resolve delays or disruptions, • Optimize routes: Identify cost‑saving opportunities and improve delivery performance, • Ensure compliance: Follow customs regulations, export/import laws, and company policies, • Maintain records: Keep accurate documentation of shipments, freight costs, and performance metrics, • Collaborate cross‑functionally: Partner with warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to align shipping plans, • Analyze data: Review shipping trends and recommend process improvements, • Prepare documentation: Create bills of lading, packing lists, and export declarationsEssential Skills, • 2–3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, operations, or transportation, • Proficiency in SAP and logistics software, • Knowledge of shipping regulations and carrier requirements, • High school diploma or GED requiredPreferred Qualifications, • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, • Familiarity with freight rates, carriers, and documentation requirements, • Experience with TMS (Oracle, Mercury Gate, Target), • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas, • Strong communication skills, both written and verbalWhy Join Us?, • Weekly pay with overtime opportunities, • Competitive salary and benefits package, • Professional growth and development opportunities, • A collaborative, dynamic team environment, • Be part of a global supply chain network that makes a real impactWork Environment, • Office located on the warehouse floor, temperature‑controlled, • Work alongside a supportive team of four logistics professionals Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Millville, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
